The best part of this kitchen isn’t any one finish or detail. It’s that it could only belong to the people who live here. These clients were willing to push things a little. To be adventurous. To make choices that felt bold without worrying about whether they were the choices everyone else was making. And it paid off in spades. Nearly every person who worked on this project had some version of the same reaction: damn, I wish I lived here. The second you walk in, it feels like their home. Not a kitchen designed to appeal to the most people. Not a collection of safe choices made for some hypothetical future buyer. A home with a point of view. I hope projects like this give people permission to dabble a little more. To follow the weird idea. Choose the colour. Keep the character. Push the boundary you’re tempted to push. Your home doesn’t need to be like everyone else’s. Your home is beautiful when it feels like you. // mcm kitchen reno, interior designer Chatham-Kent, interior designers near me, mcm kitchen inspo, homes with character, unique kitchen ideas, mcm kitchen ideas

“Not your typical… We had such a fun time at our photoshoot with Karolina. My kids have a hard time “dressing fancy,” so she helped brainstorm an idea where all we had to do was wear black. I love that she incorporated my kids’ mask-making into the shoot. It felt truly unique, not your typical family photos, because we’re not your typical family.” — Jess

A little BTS from a recent shoot at @thelakehouseestate. I’ve been working behind the scenes on the brand strategy and visual direction for this incredible property, and we needed updated imagery quickly. This is what happens when a group of talented, dedicated women come together and make it happen. More to come from this day. Thanks for helping me put this video together, @emilyroseiorio! March, but make it productive. Built brands, launched things, hired people, went a little viral — and even found time to move (building and my body). Proof I’ve been working… even if I haven’t been posting. Thank you to @emilyroseiorio for introducing me to the world of Notion!

The past Saturday was a truly beautiful evening in CK! Hundreds of community members came out to watch "Unhoused:Communities in Crisis"...everyone brought so many food donations, and together we raised over $500 for @outreachforhunger Individuals who shared their stories were able to experience those stories be witnessed by the community they are a part of- hopefully feeling seen and heard, their stories becoming an active part of the conversation as we look towards solutions to face this crisis as a community! This song, "Both Sides Now" by @jonimitchell was an inspiration for us as we worked to put this film together. There is no side to take when we are facing a humanitarian crisis, nothing is black and white, no one has it all figured out-we all win and we all lose sometimes . No one goes unscathed from the losses in this life- how we show up for those experiencing loss will be a testament to the community we have built here in CK! We are so grateful to the amazingly talented @steph_capes_garno who not only perfomered this piece at the screening but also composed the score to the film. A big thank you to Jess Kroez of @feelsgoodcreative who gave her time to photograph the red carpet so our community members who shared their stories could feel like the absolute stars they are!! And to the anonymous community sponsor, Strain Proffessional Realty Corp. as well as @rotarydistrict6380 who joined with us to help put this screening together as a free community event for all who wished to partake- thank you!!! The screening was wrapped up with a thoughtful Q&A about how we move the needle forward in CK and how community members can actively get more involved! To the @reachoutck team- thank you for your trust in us to open your doors and share this work so we can spread more knowledge and awareness!! As was asked at the screening- if anyone would like to arrange another screening within their own community pockets please do reach out to us. We will happily show up to share the film. We just asked that admission is free and donations towards the community service groups are requested!! @hopehaven @outreachforhunger @reachoutck
