🎉 INVITATION | OPENING | 17 OCTOBER, 6.30–9 PM | Fractal: The Whole in Every Part THIS IS NOT A WHITE CUBE celebrates its 10th anniversary with the opening of _*Fractal: The Whole in Every Part*_ . The commemorative exhibition revisits the relationships, ideas and practices that have shaped the gallery’s identity since its founding in Luanda in 2016, through its establishment in Lisbon, to the present day. The exhibition activates the network of artists, curators, researchers, collectors and partners who have contributed to shaping this history, inviting them to identify and propose artistic practices they consider relevant today. The exhibition thus celebrates a decade of encounters and shared affinities, transforming the gallery’s collective memory into a space for new possibilities. The ecosystem that shaped its first ten years becomes the starting point for imagining and building those yet to come. 📅 Saturday, October 17th 🕡 6.30–9 pm 📍 Rua da Emenda, 72, Chiado, Lisbon We look forward to welcoming you!

✨ A Quinta do Pato was born as a place to experiment with other ways of being in the world. ✨ We believe that not everything that exists needs to be of use. A tree is not timber. An animal is not food. The earth is not just resource. A river is not water for the taking. A person is not defined by what they produce. We don’t have the answers; We want to bring together people who ask good questions! 🌷💕Let’s gather around Art, Orchard, Music, Plantas, Foods, Water and Sunlight 💕🌷

Light lately… Summer is here and I am getting closer to my own new year (44 trips around the sun), and that familiar feeling of reflection and gratitude is settling in… as I navigate life’s challenges I understood what has helped me stay afloat are very basic things: creativity, art, nature, movement and spirituality (and also chocolate, coffee, friends, work, therapy… the list is long). Thank you, June. Hello, July. I hope these inspire you xoxo E. #light #art

Philly keep showing up. @elsewhere.fair is open through tomorrow, Saturday, June 6 at the beautiful @helloyowie in beautiful Queen Village. Thank you organizer @blahblahgallery, my roomie @trotterandsholer, and all the participating artists, art spaces, workers, and supporters. @uffnerliu Uffner & Liu’s presentation follows Made in Philly, the gallery’s exhibition on view from November through January, which highlighted twelve Philadelphia-based artists and estates, including David Aipperspach, Mark Thomas Gibson, Leroy Johnson, Aubrey Levinthal, Gilbert Lewis, Roberto Lugo, Sarah McEneaney, Bethann Parker, Leigh Werrell, Didier William, Nasir Young, and Allen Yu. At Elsewhere, the gallery brings together artists with strong Philadelphia connections alongside several artists from its roster. Highlights of the presentation include Nasir Young’s paintings of Philadelphia street scenes and Anne Buckwalter’s works, which draw upon the Pennsylvania Dutch environment in which she was raised while incorporating erotic imagery often relegated to private spaces. Also on view will be Pam Lins’ ongoing Crying Eyes series, begun in 2017 during the first Trump administration and continuing through the second. Presented on the eve of the United States’ 250th anniversary, in Philadelphia—the birthplace of the nation—the works are symbolic of the grief shared by so many of its people, marking this period in American life. The presentation will also feature a new work by Iranian artist Arghavan Khosravi, whose work has previously been exhibited at Philadelphia’s National Liberty Museum in the show In Pursuit: Artists’ Perspectives on a Nation, and whose work is included in the collection of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Additional highlights include Roger White’s domestic cut-paper still life, an assemblage work by Sheree Hovsepian —whose work is currently on view at MoMA —Anna Jung Seo’s characteristically small-scale and contemplative painting Young Artist in Melancholy Garden, and Brazilian-American artist Sacha Ingber’s Amazonas which will greet visitors from the bed.

Artistas selecionados: Adriana Proganó | Arnold Fokam | Aurélien David | Carla Cabanas | Christian Holstad | Diogo Nogueira | Emerson Quinda | Fernanda Feher | Filipe Branquinho | Francisco Trêpa | Isabel Relvas | Joaquim Pires | Lu Wei | Mamady Seydi | Mané Pacheco | Marie-Pierre Brunel | Nadia Barkate | Pedro Barassi | Pedro Martins | ORLAN | Rebecca Munce | Sara & André | Svenja Tiger | Vicente Blanco Conceção e curadoria: Katherine Sirois @katherine.sirois Co-curadoria (UCCLA): Ricardo Barbosa Vicente @ricardobvicente ...

Fotos: @lytakai___
