When I was writing down my goals late last year, securing a fully funded master’s scholarship in maritime law was at the top. To think that I am living that dream today feels completely surreal.

On Episode 4 of Ororun Trailblazers, Commonwealth Scholar Fehintioluwa Ajayi shares how a single bold step can completely rewrite your professional trajectory.

Pursuing her LLM at the University of Southampton, the UNILAG alumna pulls back the curtain on breaking into cross-border transactions, vessel financing, and maritime advisories. She reflects on her early days as the Publicity Secretary of the university’s Maritime Forum, her first time stepping on board a vessel, and why it truly takes a village to unlock elite global opportunities.

2025 unfolded slowly, then all at once.
New beginnings found me, growth reshaped me, and love, soft and steady, held me closer than I expected.
Family became my constant.

And I learned how to say goodbye, to my grandmother, not only with tears, but with deep gratitude for a life lived fully and well.

As I step toward 2026, I carry new dreams, new qualifications, and the excitement of a new chapter of work.
With a fuller heart, a clearer sense of self, and love that feels like home. 🤍
