I got to paint a portrait of my sweet buddy Isaac the ox on the wall of the @retreatfarm ice shanty designed and constructed by the talented @felipefdelfino 💖 The shanty is part of the artful ice shanty festival hosted by Retreat Farm and @brattmuseum ! We all miss sweet Isaac who passed away recently and I’m glad I got to spend some time making this for him.

Meet the artist!

You can catch him teaching workshops at First Proof Press, or feeding and caring the Retreat Farm critters. His favorite dessert is ice cream.

And to think none of these people had ever met. Yep! You heard that right! These people were all strangers at this wedding.

Well, maybe so and so knew so and so, but these wedding guests were all invited via @instagram less than 24 hours before for a mock wedding. And not any old mock wedding but a wedding to showcase the @retreatfarm ‘s newly renovated North Barn and elevate their presence on the map as a quintessential Vermont wedding venue.

These photos showcase what weddings could look like at The Retreat and @kellyepotter and @felipefdelfino (who are dating!!) were happy to stand in as the bride and groom on even less notice than the wedding guests had!

I’m so happy to be a part of this community, and as stated by my collaborator at the Retreat Farm, part of the “FARMILY”.

Please share this post to your fellow Brattleboro folks or anyone who loves the Retreat and support them in shouting from the rooftops that the venue is wedding ready!

Will be writing a blog post to feature the Retreat on my website and share more photos 🔜

I did something with the @retreatfarm today! I had yet to share my super exciting news but earlier this year I was asked to be a preferred photographer for weddings at The Retreat Farm in Brattleboro, Vermont. The Retreat is such a staple of Brattleboro, and advocates bringing the land and community together, something I really love about this venue and immediately felt so honored and excited to work with them.

Today we created a mock wedding shoot to showcase their NEWLY renovated GORGEOUS North Barn which will be the main reception area. If you are local you know how huge this renovation was, keeping original woodwork etc. Even though it was a mock wedding I still have over 2k photos to cull through but once that’s finished I can’t wait to share photos from today with you!
