✨ Rückblick 2024: Gemeinsam für faire Praxis! ✨

Highlight in November 2024: The first physical meeting of the Koordinationsstelle Faire Praxis was held at the inspiring @kulturmarkt_zurich , this time hosted by @femaleact_ .

It became clear: there is a strong common ground. Topics such as solidarity, collective work forms, and anchoring societal developments in the arts are in focus.

However, challenges were also voiced: fatigue and the question of sustainable financing for activist work are central concerns that will accompany us into 2025.

The process continues to be supported by an advisory board – and the matches in the video remind us of the energy that has characterized this year. 🔥

We look forward to a digital and a physical meeting in 2025– let’s continue together!💖

Next Tuesday @karl_zuerich :
⚡️BURNING ISSUES of the performing arts⚡️

One year After the m2act x Burning Issues network meeting in Bern, at which cultural and creative professionals discussed diversity, inclusion and equality in the performing arts and drew up a final document, – we look back and ask: What developments and changes have already been triggered by the initiatives? What problems and obstacles have arisen? And how can we ensure that the initiatives have as lasting an impact as possible?

Zurich-based association for stage and screen actresses @femaleact_ is very proud to announce the upcoming release of their "calculator", a tool which will be available online on their website and is designed to provide a black-and-white visualization of possible care costs incurred by performing artists.

Many people in the performing arts do not work on regular hours. Unfortunately, subsidized child care, for example, is only intended for weekdays from 8am to 5pm. But during evenings, weekends or holidays, the costs must be borne by the artists alone. This calculator was developed to help them make their costs visible to employers.

Dr. Andrea Zimmermann will present her research on the topic at the launch event and exclusively share the current status of one of her projects. Feel welcome to attend!

The event will take place on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 12h to 13h on livetream via Zoom or in-person in Toni-Areal, Pfingstweidstrasse 96, 8005 Zürich (Raum 4.T06).

Reservation needed, fill the form below (deadline on December 6):
