FEN - Elemental (Part 1: Mourning Earth)

The more I listen to it the more it crawls under my skin. Great for the last sunny days of autumn and the fallen leaves' melancholy... 🍂🍂🍂

This transparent green/black splatter version is limited to 300 copies.

Thank you for the wonderful birthday week!
🙏♥️🖤

There's a Swedish phrase that calls it your 'significant day' and I really enjoyed my one day feeling significant! 😁

To @jimmyhaskovec , the best friend in the world, who jumped on a plane without needing to be asked, and made sure I had a wonderful weekend, thank you so much 🥹🙏♥️
To everyone who took time to come out, to show up or to reach out, it means so much and I love you for it!

This past year has been the hardest one yet.
42 was supposed to be the meaning of life (Thanks Douglas! 🙄). So it turns out the meaning is pain and grief.
Let's hope the meaning of 43 is insignificant calmness!

A big thanks to Fen for inviting us on their tour, and to all who helped make it happen! Here’s a snap of (I think) all the band members (plus Dave the driver). It was great to reconnect with the British underground metal scene after such a long time away from it, make new friends, and also to play at venues that were all new to me (brewery venues are the future!). I feel simultaneously exhausted and reinvigorated. I’m grateful to be doing this kind of thing again. But now I need a rest 😅

I might have seen @fenbanduk on stage numerous times but last night in Chelmsford was particularly special as we got to hear the new material from the album which will most certainly be one of my AOTY. "Elemental (Part 1: Mourning Earth)" is a top shelf stuff when it comes to atmospheric black metal this year and the new songs sound even more powerful live. Fen's very intimate show in the tiny venue was outstanding and the level of musicianship that the Allain brothers together with Jesel present is truly admirable. Here is the fragment of one of my favourite moments of the entire new album, that second part of "Massif" is just unreal!

''Elemental (Part 1: Mourning Earth)'' out now on @prophecypro so make sure you check it out! 🔥

I have seen @fenbanduk live a few times but never playing a headline slot so it was great to finally get to see them performing a longer set. Their new album is one of my favorite Black metal releases of the year and the songs sounded great live. Having @lychgateofficial supporting was a massive plus as they were one of my biggest regrets for not going to Tynebound, they too put on a great performance. @cistvaenuk were also really good, I especially liked the sound of the song they said was off their upcoming album. This was a really good night of some of the Uks best bands.
