So grateful to be able to volunteer as a counselor at the STEM on strip camp! Had so much fun getting to work with all the kids teaching them fencing for the first time, and also collaborating on stem projects together 🫶 @fencersdogood

Kakuma Refugee Update 🪴 Last August when coaches Jeff and Jen (Chair Lady) traveled to Kenya to learn and share our sport they were not allowed to share video and photos...since then their sentiment has changed. Exposure provides hope, connection and education. Thank you @storymatterent and others for providing a lens!

What's been happening?

Small teams have popped up around Turkana County and in the refugee camp. @wfencing and @coachjeffkallio have assisted with online training and @fencersdogood helped collect used gear at the @usafencing March NAC. Several weeks ago the donated gear was shipped by a generous family and we have notification from customs it is in its final journey (by car) to the camp. ❤️Thank you to all who helped generously on this effort! ❤️

The loss of major funding has caused a lot of movement, but also ingenuity like handmade foils from branches and using shoes for coordination games. We are grateful to be sharing in this exchange! Look for more updates here as the relationship grows and evolves. Speaking is Coach Eliakim- the visionary unleashing the power of sport in Kakuma. #iocrefugeeteam #refugeesupport #fencing #forgefencing y

Thank you @usafencing and @fencersdogood on the collaborative effort to bring fencing gear to Kakuma. @forge.fencing is working also with @fencing_fie as we create processes and procedures to create sport opportunities in hard to reach places. We have a shipping plan! 🤞 @refugeeolympicteam #fencers #fencingislife

Spectacular energy from the fencing world in Cincinnati this past month! 🤺

Award USA was on site at the 2026 February North American Cup, tabling alongside athletes competing across epee, foil, and saber events. We spent the weekend sharing the Award, engaging directly with young people, and highlighting how the Award complements fencing by building skills, physical activity, and confidence beyond competition.

Proud to continue our partnership with @usafencing and a shared mission to support and empower young people.

Spring Fest was truly lit ✨🏌🏽‍♀️🤺

Huge thank you to @shewhogolfs for introducing our youth to the game of golf—opening doors to confidence, discipline, and a lifelong sport.

And an incredible shoutout to @fencersdogood for bringing out the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee to teach fencing and giving our kids a chance to experience an Olympic sport up close.

These activations brought energy, excitement, and purpose to Spring Fest. 🦾🏆❤️‍🔥‼️

By the end of the day, every child walked away with a new hobby, a new sport, and a new spark to keep moving, learning, and dreaming big.⛳🤺🏅🏆⭐

This is what community, exposure, and opportunity look like 💛MAKE SURE TO COME OUT THIS YEAR 4/4 SAVE THE DATE
