Two of my stunning 1980 Fender Precision Special basses in Lake Placid Blue. First time Fender used matching headstock paint and also installed an onboard preamp. Super-heavy basses, but for me the sound totally justifies the weight!

Möbius takes bassist Caleb Key on a much needed psychic vacation during his stay at Harrington's View psychiatric ward. Which she does with a lovely 1950’s era Fender Precision bass. Gives new meaning to a walking bass line! A scene from my sci-fi fantasy novel “Harrington’s View”. Pencil and ink artwork by comic illustrator Garrett Gainey. #gaineygraphics#science_fiction#ink#science_fiction_woman#bass_guitar#fender_precision#science_fiction_fantasy_woman#sci_fi_romance#sci_fi_art#alien_woman#alien_female

With my 1980 “All Walnut” Fender Precision Special bass and my @bergantinoaudiosystems studio rig. Crazy to think I was still at secondary school when this bass was being made!!

Wishing a happy, belated 75th birthday to Jamaican-born British guitarist, vocalist @lynval_golding, member of one of my favourite 2-Tone bands from my youth @thespecials. Lynval turned 75 yesterday July 24th and here are a few photos from a recording session I played bass on with Lynval on guitar and the late Terry Hall on vocals. 🙏

One of my favourite artists of all time was/is @aljarreauofficial. He was the soundtrack to my life from the mid to late 80’s and I own every album he ever made. Imagine my delight then when I got the call to play bass with him on @jools.holland.official TV show in 2000. Here is a short clip from the performance of the song “Last Night” which was a track from Al’s 2000 album called “Tomorrow Today”. I’m playing my 1970 fretless Fender Precision in this clip and you can watch the full version if you click the link in my bio. Enjoy!

A couple of fun pics from a recording session back in the day with American actor, comedian, musician, writer and producer, the one and only @theharryshearer! As well as voicing many characters from ‘The Simpsons’, Harry famously portrayed the bassist Derek Smalls in ‘This is Spinal Tap’ and ‘Spinal Tap II: The End Continues’. On this particular session I played bass and Harry sang, and afterwards he kindly signed the back of my @fender Precision bass with “DAVE- TURN IT UP!! DEREK SMALLS. What a great and memorable day that was! 🤘
