Did you know there are bee hives at Fenton? 🐝 Their honey is one of the key ingredients for @brewerybhavana’s new Hive honey saison.

(Editor’s note: It’s pretty delicious)

Patrick Woodson, the owner of Brewery Bhavana, said at a media event that the brewery has used honey before, but the collab with @buddhabeeapiary for Hive “embodies the terroir of this area.”

🐝 More on the bees: Justin Maness, the founder of Buddha Bee Apiary, said the beekeepers maintain two hives of approximately 12,000 total bees at Fenton.

🌳 A lab-tested sequencing of the honey by the beekeepers showed the Fenton bees harvested 89% of trees and shrubs, with the largest percentage from oak trees (nearly 30%).

“We’ve learned a lot about our environment through these folks,” said Rob Canepa, general manager at @fentonnc.

🍻 The Hive honey saison is brewed “in the style of a rustic Belgian Beire de Miel,” with pilsner and wheat, and lightly dry hopped with Amarillo hops. It’s sold in cans for off-site, or you can sip one at Brewery Bhavana or in Fenton’s social district.

📍 Superica in Fenton
Superica has quickly become my family’s favorite spot for Mexican! A few weeks ago I tried their enormous hotcakes with buttermilk syrup and had to go back and try it again because let me tell you, they are my favorite pancake in the city! 100/10 Not too sweet, perfectly fluffy and the buttermilk syrup sets it all off 🙌🏻

What we ordered:
* Cold brew + horchata 7/10
* Huevos Mexicanos 8/10 (the house made tortillas are amazing)
* Hotcakes 🥞 100/10
* The chips and salsa 10/10 (my fav tortilla chips, super light, crispy, and salty

Absolutely adore this place and would highly recommend!

Last week we launched our newest beer, Hive, made in collaboration with @buddhabeeapiary at Fenton!

Hive is a Honey Saison in the style of a rustic Belgian Biere de Miel, brewed with Pilsner and Wheat, lightly dry hopped with Amarillo, and delicately finished with chamomile and honey sourced from bees local to the Fenton district near our taproom. It’s light, floral, and distinctly local.

Come try hive now on tap at both locations and make sure to grab a four-pack to go on your way home! 🐝

Something special is brewing at @brewerybhavana at @fentonnc, and I got an early taste! 🐝

I was invited to the launch of Hive, a limited-release Honey Saison brewed with honey harvested right from Fenton’s on-site beehives, in collaboration with @buddhabeeapiary, and yall, this one is worth the buzz!

The beer itself was light, smooth, and so refreshing - honestly one of the most unique sips I’ve had in a while.

But what made the experience special was learning the full story behind it, from the beekeepers at Buddha Bee to the collaboration that brought it all together.

This isn’t just a beer, it’s a love letter to local partnership and sustainable craft brewing 🍻

If you get a chance, try Hive before it’s gone!
