Happy 119th Birthday, Frida Kahlo.

Stepping into LACMA while attending community college and seeing Las dos Fridas (1939) had me speechless. The painting stands close to 6ft × 6ft At the time, I was taking an art history class and was asked to go to a museum, pick a painting, analyze and write a paper. As an adult, I had not been to an art museum. I did not expect to be as consumed by art as I was.

I fell in love with Frida.

Turning pain into beauty has always been one of her greatest inspirations to me.
Hurt people hurt people, but it takes incredible creativity, courage, and passion to transform pain into something that heals, inspires, and connects us.

Frida, thank you for reminding us that our wounds can become works of art. ❤️

Joy Is An Act of Resistance was the second group art show I curated in November 2024. This time it was in @autonomous.gallery right across from @neighborhoodplantdealer in downtown Vallejo. Grateful for Z who has allowed me to thrive as a curator - always open to my ideas & always supportive. MATH Day 2026 at @victorystablesoakland hosted by @methodmade @ptvcrewforever @maths_mama_p @wethecollected

Ever since MATH’s passing almost 2 years ago, it’s been amazing seeing how many lives he touched, and how he continues to bring a variety of communities together. I’m always so honored to be welcomed by all the folx and being able to contribute where I can.

Shoutout to @neal__________ for putting so much into this amazing show/fundraiser and everyone that helped along the way/throughout the day. Love you brother!

For those that don’t know, @math_punks_thugs_vandals was a beautifully talented artist who was taken from us too soon. Since his passing, we celebrate him on his birthday, 2/22 and continue to honor and remember him, and raise funds for his family.

We love you Trin and forever hold you in our hearts. 🖤🤙🏾👐🏾

Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly paint class in the new private event space next to Flore—where smoking is welcome but not required! Led by artist Tanya Herrera, you'll follow a simple, step-by-step process to create your own masterpiece—no experience needed. PUFF and Create is a relaxed, no-pressure class designed for creativity and fun. We’ll provide all art supplies, raffle prizes, snacks, drinks, and more. Bring your friends, your vibe, and get ready to make art and memories. Spots fill fast—reserve yours today!

What's Included:
- 3 hr Creating session
- All creating materials
- Snacks and drinks
- 1 reeffle ticket (MUST see new prizes every month!)

Additional Information:
- BYOC (Bring you own Cannabis)
- Wear clothes you aren’t afraid to get dirty or stained (We have limited smocks)
- Come prepared to smoke, create, chat, indulge, and probably laugh hard. In PUFF and Create classes we leave our worries at the door and create something truley for ourselves.
- You do not need to consume cannabis to participate in the class

Rules:
- Must be at least 21 years of age with valid US issued ID or passport.
- This is a BYOC event, PUFF and Create teacher does not provide cannabis
- Smoking allowed during class in Flore Dispensary's private patio
- Please consume responsibly

Cancellation Policy: Tickets are non-refundable within 7 days of class but can be transferred to a future session with at least 24 hours' notice.

Weather: Classes are held outdoors—dress in layers and check the forecast. In case of heavy rain, partial refunds may be issued based on how much of the class was completed.

Class Size: A minimum of 4 students is required. If fewer are registered, the class may be canceled and tickets refunded. Please be sure to check your email the day before and day of class for important updates or instructions.
