If anyone needs me today, I'll be in my room hugging the swaddle blanket @ferdiescs and I stole from the hospital, crying my eyes out. And possibly taking a nap because wtf is up with these 4 and 5 am wake ups 😭.

I've taken actual courses in early childhood education, read articles and studies about it for fun, and even worked with children ranging from 6 months to 6 years. Child psychology? I love it. But actually witnessing the leaps and bounds in development first hand in my own home has been absolutely astounding. Sure, I know what comes next in his cognitive development, but nothing beats experiencing it in real time.

It's time for the real fun to begin, little one.

Merry Christmas from our little family. This year was so hard on so many levels but the holidays always reminds me to be present and grateful for every moment. I can't wait for this little one to be older and appreciate the magic. PS. The way Atlas scans the room and looks for/at me just melts my heart. 🤎

Atlas' signature "woe is me" pose is fitting for the day considering I woke him up from a perfectly good nap to take this picture and get his two month shots. 😬 He's so much more alert and loves to coo and laugh (with sound!). He saves all his poop explosions for daddy and is already starting to sleep through the night (🙌🏼). I understand now why most of my mom friends love newborns (definitely didn't get it at first). Everyone that meets him instantly falls in love, but it's hard not to.
