SKUGGOR | SHADOWS
Premiere September 4 in Piteå, Sweden
Tours in Sweden until 29/10
Cinematic Choreography at the Border Between Light and Shadow
Art of Spectra has become known for its cinematic aesthetic and intense choreography, where dance, music and visual
elements merge into a unified whole, opening up new ways of experiencing the darkness and humanity of our contemporary
world.
With their distinctive style – raw, poetic and visually driven – Art of Spectra invites the audience into a place where each
individual carries their shadow as an outward manifestation of an inner state. In SKUGGOR, it is the space between light and
darkness that is given a voice. It is not the light that defines the figure, but the space left behind by the shadow. The shadows
are not merely visual – they are emotional and contain what we carry with us. They are what we do not remember, never said,
or choose to forget. They are bodily memories, identity and belonging.
To encounter our shadow is to listen to the whisper of our deepest self.

I have had the best days of my life!!! Dance, dancers, art, humans, hope, shadows, love and lots of laughter. You know when you hang out with people and have to take a shower or you have to go to the toilet but you don’t want to leave the people nor the conversations so you hurry hurry hurry in the bathroom because you don’t want to miss a single word or topic: My whole weekend was like this!!! & I loved every single second. I am writing in english because this weekend I have been speaking english, swedish, french, greek and spanish! Bara en sån sak! Tack
@leonardviet for inviting me for your premiere, you are a star, and tack and congratulations @artofspectra for a beautiful show. Less go!!!! (Ps last picture is from when I got to know Leonard as we were working and dancing together in Prague, Chech Republic, how cool?!?!) Bisous❤️
