Thank you to everyone who came out to our Invasive Plant Trail Walk last weekend! The weather was perfect, catering from @thewestendfi was flawless, and our trail guides were wonderful! The @fergusonmuseum Land Trust Chocomount Cove Trail was the perfect setting to show how dedicated, non-toxic efforts to combat invasive plants can lead to measurable improvements for our ecosystem. 🌸🍃🐛

Please Note: A very large number of the Crisp’s family and friends are expected at Peter’s service on Monday. Many are coming from off-island and from long distances. The service will be live-streamed from St. John’s Church to Union Chapel.
The family encourages the general Island community to attend at Union Chapel, which will have a live feed of the service, both inside the church and outside under the tent in the shaded courtyard.🌷
The Service will also be streamed via Zoom. Please find the link on FishersIsland.net home page and in the obituary.

This Friday we are co-hosting a really special evening with the Henry L. Ferguson Museum. Join us for a talk by photographer Brian Kelley on his work documenting the oldest and largest trees in the United States through the Gathering Growth Foundation.

Brian has dedicated his career to visually preserving the legacy of trees and forests across the country. Since founding the Gathering Growth Foundation in 2019 he has documented over 1,300 significant trees and is currently completing his first publication, Gathering Growth Vol. 1: New York. His work is rooted in a simple but powerful idea. Before a landscape can be protected it must first be known, and before it can be known it must be remembered.

Friday July 31st from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at the Museum, 2nd floor. Also available via Zoom!
