Earth to Plate Supper Club returns with Keiko Mizuno 🌾

Our rotating chefs’ supper club at Wild IS Earth welcomes its next guest: a Japanese fermentation chef and food researcher who spent 30 years studying the brain and now cooks for the gut.

Join us for Whisper to Gut, a seasonal vegan supper celebrating Japanese fermentation, British autumn produce and fragrant dashi. Expect koji, miso, tofu and sesame, plated in the spirit of shojin ryori, a Buddhist vegetarian cuisine where every dish honours the season and the living world.

🍽 Multi-course, 100% plant-based, communal table

Meet your kombucha guide 🫧

We’re delighted to welcome Natalia Kalnytska, founder of @vesnakombucha, to Fermentation Celebration this Saturday 17 October. Inspired by her Ukrainian heritage and childhood memories of brewing with her grandmother, Nataliia makes raw, unpasteurised kombucha in glass, bringing time-honoured practices into modern life.

She’ll be speaking in the morning talks, running a hands-on drop-in workshop in the afternoon, and selling her kombucha at the artisans’ market.

Terre Madre

Some experiences don’t just change the way you see food. They change the way you see the world.
One of the most special parts of the whole experience wasn’t just the amazing food, the ideas or the conversations. It was meeting fellow fermenters from around the world.
Sharing techniques, stories, experiments, failures and the little moments of fermentation magic reminds me just how generous and connected this community is. Different places, different traditions, but so much in common.
Grateful for the people I met, the knowledge shared and the inspiration I’m bringing home to my students and the wider community. Here’s to keeping the cultures alive, in every sense.

Meet your kefir guide 🥛

We’re delighted to welcome Sam Murphy, co-founder of @ki.kefir, to Fermentation Celebration on Saturday 17 October. Originally from Yorkshire with fermenting in the family, Sam started making kefir in her little London kitchen in 2019 and now ferments hundreds of litres each week in East Sussex, using milk from organic and regenerative farms.

She’ll be speaking in the morning talks, running a hands-on drop-in workshop in the afternoon, and selling her delicious kefir at the artisans’ market.
