The 30 year anniversary King Of The Hill in Riksgränsen last week brought back so many good memories.
Seeing and meeting old and new friends at this legendary place up north in Sweden was truly heartwarming.
Made me realize and appreciate what we have all shared in common through snowboarding.

Thanks Ingemar Backman @gorgzilla for bringing us all together.

Visiting Rick’s grandson @koth30year

**What a time to be alive 🔮**

Huge thanks to the crew around Ingemar @gorgzilla, Albin @abbewashere, David @scandinavianshaper and everyone who showed up for this celebration under the midnight sun, deep beyond the Polar Circle. Wild to think I missed the original event by just one year — arriving in Riksgränsen for the first time in 1997 — a place I’ve returned to frequently ever since, collecting clips and filming video parts.

Scandinavia has always been a stronghold of the European snowboard scene. It was special sharing this gathering with so many like-minded people and longtime friends from different chapters of the journey.

And Ingemar… how did you even send that huge air back then? Still mind-blowing. 🍯 This place is packed with endless natural transitions and hidden lines — a true surf landscape in snow form. A lot of my inspiration came from terrain like this and from those early video days — Subject Haakonsen, *Project 6*, old Standard Films sections and the entire freestyle explosion of 90s snowboarding. 🕊️

Still collecting inspiration. Still collecting memories.

Special thanks to @bolindgren & his lovely family including @tompijohansson and the many inviting locals to @riksgransen.se 🌄

Muchas gracias a @fernandeziker @fschileteam
