Missing the 5am rooster and dog fight wake ups with a foggy mountain view🐓🌄

Unreal to think it's been over a year since the FIGS wolfpack took Guatemala. We saw hundreds of patients in San Lucas Tolimán, immersed ourselves in local art and culture, and met some of the most incredible people.

10/10 would re do the entire experience (but maybe 2/10 for that final curvy mountain road trip lmao)🤣

Missing the figsmilia! 🐺🩺💙 #wearFIGS

Feeling incredibly blessed to have returned to Guatemala to serve alongside 22 other missionaries. Our team, alongside @plmguatemala, was able to build six homes for families in need, paint an elementary school, sponsor children so they can receive an education, and supply families with clothing & school supplies.

Stay close to God, give generously, love others, and be grateful for all that God has given you.

FIGS Impact Trip 🇬🇹 | Día 3

The morning crew grew so of course we took our little stroll down to Lake Atitlán and followed it up with a morning stretch led by our favorite chiropractor 🧘‍♀️🌅 Waking up by that lake view and breathing in the mountain air felt unreal.

Then we hopped on boats that took us across the lake about a 25 minute ride, such a vibe, to San Juan la Laguna. Once we landed, we embarked on what they told us was a “supposedly 10 minute” hike up the steepest mountain we’ve seen yet 🏔️ Let’s just say I felt very out of shape and sweat was definitely involved. At some point we all low key blacked out, too much heat and too many steps, and didn’t realize we were at the top until the first breeze hit and jolted us back to reality.

The views were absolutely stunning so after that we visited a women’s weaving foundation where we learned how they make the fabric, how they color it, and how many of them started honing their skills when they were ten years old. I’m so excited for you all to see the huipils some of the patients made for themselves absolutely stunning and so full of heart.

At the foundation I picked up some handmade table napkins for Em, toys for the boys, and a shirt for myself. Everything was so well made and clearly made with love.

The ride back was rainy and choppy so phones got put away and the crew just wanted good dinner and rest because tomorrow we’re starting clinics 🌧️🛶🍴
