Part one:

DuArte is a reflection of my journey, my roots, and the people who have been part of it.

Many know me as a barber, but DuArte has never been just about hair. It’s about people. It’s about culture, creativity, connection, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.

As a proud Cape Verdean woman, I’ve always carried the spirit of Morabeza with me the warmth, hospitality, kindness, and sense that make people feel at home, no matter where they come from.

Life has taught me that some of the best moments happen when people come together. Sharing stories, sharing food, sharing laughter, and simply being present with one another.

That’s what DuArte stands for.

Not just a brand.

Not just a business.

Nôs é família.
We are family.

Roots & Riddims #2
where music, art, history, politics, spirituality and performance meet

For the second year in a row, Roots & Riddims returns as a gathering space for Black expression, ancestral connection, and collective celebration. A night of music and culture bringing Surinamese, Cabo Verdean, Angolan and Caribbean diasporas together.

Through this journey, we draw inspiration from indigenous African spiritual traditions and the Afro-Brazilian religion Candomblé — a practice deeply rooted in ancestral reverence, rhythm, ceremony, and the presence of the Orishas. Percussion becomes language. Drum rhythms become memories.

Ferré’s KODE EP is out now through Infinite Pleasure, and it pulls from the exact kind of rhythmic range that makes his work feel connected to Rotterdam’s club community.

The EP moves through house, electro, Batida, African disco influence, hip-hop sensibility, and breaks, with Ferré’s Cape Verdean roots sitting inside the rhythmic language of the record. It feels built for DJs who want records that can redirect a set through percussion and bass pressure rather than obvious drops.

Ferré is also a key figure around WORM Rotterdam’s night program and ANDA Electronix, so this release feels tied to real community work as much as production.
