🕯️a story of a candlestick holder:
1. After surviving a 7 hour delay + 2 plane rides home, my paper clay creation is now a fully functioning candlestick holder
2. A survey of our creations made during @whitneysherman paper clay workshop at ICON13
3. Such a fun group to meet and make with!
4. have to include the cat
5. Also, how cute is this stick-um tin?? Helps your candles stay immensely but also is delightful—was I subconsciously referencing this with my paint job?

Gallery Highlight: The Art Collective Gallery, Bentonville, Arkansas

On my way to The Momentary (a satellite location for the Crystal Bridges Museum), I stumbled upon this hip gallery in Bentonville that showcases works by local, national, and international artists across disciplines. Having been voted as “the best gallery in Northwest Arkansas”, it comes through rather visibly in the fine selection of artists they exhibit! A few highlights:

- The biting humor and exclamatory statements in the “F*ck” paintings of Tena Simpson (Bella Vista, Arkansas)
- The comedic illustrational interventions of Brian J. Hoffman (Boston, Massachusetts)
- The jumbled and colorful semi-figurative vignettes of Leif Larson (Oshkosh, Wisconsin)
- The half-wild / half-industrial ceramic designs of Trip Johnson (Fayetteville, Arkansas)
- The architecturally conversant, towering wooden freestanding sculptures of Michael Pantzer (Lowell, Arkansas)
- The nostalgic reverie that emanates within the architectural paintings of John Ferry (Prairie Village, Kansas)
- The psychological, nail-biting painterly dream (or nightmare) states of Carmelo Pluchino (Venice, Italy)

I would also like to express my gratitude to the artists of this gallery for their warmth and enthusiasm during my chance visit last Saturday afternoon! The first photo is such an awesome reflection of the spirit of the space! If you go to Bentonville, make sure you visit this gallery!

Seven years ago we opened our doors with a simple belief — that art has the power to move, challenge, and connect us all. What started as a dream has grown into a vibrant community of artists, collectors, and art lovers who show up, engage, and keep this gallery alive with energy and purpose. Seven years of incredible exhibitions, unforgettable moments, and artists who trusted us with their work and their vision — and we’re proud to have been voted the Best Art Gallery in Northwest Arkansas multiple times along the way. We don’t take that lightly. To every artist who has shown here, every visitor who has walked through our doors, and every supporter who has cheered us on — thank you. The best is absolutely still to come. Here’s to seven years and everything ahead. 🎨🔥🏆

Come celebrate with us — our next chapter starts this Saturday with artist Daniel Del Carpio hosting the gallery from 12pm–5pm. Seven years in, multiple Best Gallery wins under our belt, and we’re just getting started. See you there. 👊

Thank you so much to the awesome artists in the Renewal show! Thank you @ferryjohnr for being our esteemed juror! I can't believe this is our 3rd year doing this!
We love the Tiny shows and totally appreciate all who have applied. We treat every show with a touch of whimsy and plain ole fun but we also take very seriously our jurors decisions, our artists and their works!
TAG&TiniER and our satellite location within Marshall Building downtown MKE showcase artists from all over and every stage from emerging to established.
