ON VIEW NOW!!

@georginapoundsgallery x @johsgallery present a body of work by @krauzeperla, on the occasion of Condo Mexico City 2026 from April 23 - 26, 2026.

Presented in the romantic galleries at Georgina Pounds Gallery, Perla Krauze transforms natural stone into a feminine presence that holds and traces gentle narratives of passage. She brings together volcanic rock and obsidian from Pedregal, stone rubbings and pink marble from Puebla with resin, delicate metal flowers, and touches of gold leaf, jigsawing these elements into pathways and poetic puzzles. Her miniature staircases invite us to enter her world, while her paintings gently return us to the land on which we stand.

Perla Krauze has presented solo exhibitions at venues such as the Museo Universitario de Ciencias y Artes (MUCA), Mexico City (2022); the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C., USA (2018); and Museo Amparo, Puebla, Mexico (2017). In 2010, she held a retrospective exhibition at the Museo de Arte Moderno, Mexico City. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions at institutions including the Museo de Arte Popular, Mexico City (2009), and Galería Galería Sonja Roesch, Houston, USA (2016). In 2021, her work was recognized with the Gottlieb Foundation Grant, and it is held in major collections such as MUAC, Mexico City; Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, Arizona, USA; Museo de Arte Moderno, Mexico City; Museo del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, Mexico City; and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca, Mexico, among others.
