That’s a wrap on this year’s Community Art Days: Pollinators! 🐝

Thanks to everyone who joined us this past Friday at Touch a Truck and participated with artist-in-residence Fernanda Salla’s Stories of the Summer installation. We loved seeing what you have been reading this summer and all the beautifully drawn book reviews!

Community Art Days looked a little different this year and we hope you all enjoyed seeing us at events throughout the spring & summer in the community as much as we did! Thank you for taking part in this new experiment with us and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store for next year.

We are grateful to the Prince George Community Foundation, the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George and Tourism Prince George for their support of this engagement!

As an educator, the end of the school year is always a time of reflection for me.
.
I was thinking back to some of the highlights of my year, and this was definitely one of them. Thank you again to @fesallaart for making this poem into a banner that got a lot of attention, and to @ominecaarts for having me as an artist in residence.
.
This poem always reminds me of how you cannot control/predict the impact of your creativity. I wrote this when I was 15 and never thought much of it. There is a drawing as well that came in my 30's, and to my surprise both pieces have been and are very popular.
.
If you want to check out 'Both Solo' you can find it in my chapbook or get it as an art piece for your wall at:

(LINKS ALSO IN MY BIO)
.
Here's to beginnings, endings, and the journey between them. Enjoy!!
