black country, new road - 22nd july 2026 - somerset house, london

shot for @festsandgigs 📸

when i brought my point and shoot with me to see the band last year at their brixton academy show, i thought about how much i would’ve loved to be on the other side of the barrier in the pit. fast forward 8 months and there i was!! a band that mean soooo much to me, whose music has got me through the best times and the worst. what an absolute dream band to tick off the list!!

shooting my first ever outdoor gig, in a city i’d never been to, on the hottest day of the year was certainly an experience! hugeeee thanks to the bristol sounds team for being so friendly and welcoming, and most of all ensuring for a great evening out. wish i could share more photos but this was all that management would approve! nevertheless, some good fun 😁

shot for @festsandgigs 📸

not an easy gig to shoot by any means, but such an exciting one for me!! as a massive fan of lola’s music, it was so so cool getting to photograph her and i couldn’t be happier that she’s back on stage where she belongs!! (p.s massive shoutout to lola’s management team for giving us the first 4 songs so i could be in the pit for conceited xx)

while i have a bit of a quiet period away from the camera focusing on finishing my second year of university, i thought i’d go back through the gigs i’ve already done and share a few ‘unseen’ photos from some of my favourites!! what better way to start than with my first gig of 2026, and an amazing set of pics!!

tom a. smith - 23rd april 2026 - the sunflower lounge, birmingham

shot for @festsandgigs 📸

with the amount of artists i’m lucky enough to get to see and photograph, it’s naturally made it more difficult to find ones that really truly blow me away. tom is one of them. the amount of energy, passion and dedication he puts into his live performances is second to none, and to be doing this at his age is absolutely insane. can’t wait to see what the future holds for this young man 🙌

shot for @festsandgigs 📸

after waiting what’s felt like a lifetime for management to approve these photos, i couldn’t be more excited to FINALLY share them with the world!! this was by far the coolest gig i’ve ever shot (not even mentioning i got to shoot the first ELEVEN songs!!), and i’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to photograph in an arena again, because it’s something i’ll never take for granted!! a truly epic show, and just as good as the first time i saw mgk 6 years ago 🎸
