💡This is probably one of very few papers addressing complex management of tooth wear patients beyond the conventional options of resin based composites and crowns. Moreover, through three clinical cases we present a step by step guide to treatment planning of such advanced complexity and tooth wear cases. We also discuss the use of #dentalimplants and #orthodontics in such cases. This is a clinical paper that is light on waffle and heavy on practice. Link: https://lnkd.in/g6k6BjNq

This work is the result of another beautiful #collaboration with my good friends Dr Gareth Calvert and Dr William Keys - absolute stars ⭐️🔝💯

✅For maximum benefit, this paper is to be read with our earlier British Dental Journal one discussing the clinical factors involved in the management of tooth wear:

The ‘Restorability’ Symposium 2020 IS THIS TOOTH RESTORABLE ? It's a question we ask ourselves so often...do we commit ourselves to extraction or do we manage the remaining tooth tissue as best as we can to optimise the outcome. In a lot of cases the presenting factors are obvious and clear and we can communicate these to the patient and make a decision. In other situations things are less clear cut and we contemplate...Key Topics in Restorative Dentistry presents the 'Restorability' symposium at the BDA Wimpole Street London on the 25th of April 2020 where four experts will dissect and disseminate the key factors in managing teeth with reduced tooth tissue. The day will attract 6 CPD hours and will cost £175. We hope to see you there! #restorability #restoration #restorativedentistry #ktrd #BDA

SHOULD WE SAVE OR EXTRACT ? Committing a patient to an edentate site can be a difficult call to make especially if the option to restore is not clear cut and may involve multidisciplinary treatment.
On the 25th of April at the BDA in London Gareth Calvert, Kreena Patel, Mahul Patel and myself will be aiming to provide answers to common questions on 'Restorability'. Key Topics in Restorative Dentistry. 6 CPD Hours. £175.
