i like my records like i like my dames... with a rear. so here’s the 12 track list for “Jive Talk”, my upcoming 12 song LP. hope y’all dig the vintage look I was going for. big ups to the fam @kevinkourages for creating this !! /// It’s only been a couple years or so since I’ve stepped out of my introverted nature in order to dive into Toronto’s hip hop/jazz/r&b/soul scene & create a name for myself doing shows & networking. Along the way I’ve met countless cats & canaries who are talented beyond belief. We’re talking producers, musicians, rappers, singers, dancers & much more. Some of which have become my closest friends & collaborators. That being said, because I truly believe in that ol Snoop Dogg philosophy, “ain’t no fun if the homies can’t get none”, I wanted to feature as many of the GTA’s very finest as I could. I was sitting on a bountiful batch of Bohe beats that I immediately could envision certain artists snapping on. /// So I acted on that impulse and invited the the most gifted artists around me who I felt would be perfect for specific records on Jive Talk. Each one of em took the time to reach my home studio multiple times so we could organically write and record from a shared creative space. I wanted em to feel like true collaborations, not just petty features. They saw me pouring my soul into the music and followed suit. I spent hours & hours going thru the process of premixing, so each guest’s vocals hold a real special place in my heart. The results are swellelegant - Haf

A year after the debut album 'Villanova Junction', @fevra_ is back with a collection of remixes by some of his favourite producers from around the globe.
⠀
Opening up the release is a super soulful flip of 'Politicken' from the Toronto based beatmaker @joshgrantjosh featuring pitched down vocals from Toronto's Germain Carter, Leo Noirr & Empara - a chillen remix to ease you into Autumn.
⠀
Cover art comes from Toronto's @mgennaro00 who revisits the 'Villanova Junction' concept by creating a free form piece that is a visual embodiment of the remix album.
