As a first-year student, I decided to gain a better understanding of contemporary art by aiming to visit at least 75 exhibitions. I ended up visiting 97. I highlighted my 5 favorite ones that touched me deeply in red, and marked a +1 in blue.

I chose mumok because of an Allan Kaprow piece called Push and Pull. Mother with Her Child made it into my top list for making me realize how important mothers are in their children’s lives, and how grateful I am for mine. Dawn to Dawn stood out for its massive scale and the immersive world I could enter at the exhibition center. Drift of Grounds was the first exhibition where I truly saw how much work goes into a show and how crucial mutual support is in our small art community; it was also very touching that my father came. Art in the Age of Artificial Intelligence was probably my absolute favorite, and Generation 2026 at Amos Rex became the +1 because it was shocking to see how much funding and how many opportunities young artists receive in other countries. I hope we will have that here one day, too.

I visited these exhibitions between September 2025 and August 2026, and I am truly grateful for every single one of them.

"Embrace the parts of yourself that make you stand out as a foreigner. It's a gift you can use to build bridges across cultures, languages and countries. Fitting in is overrated. These days I care more about making my audience of one (myself) happy."

Two prints made during this year’s @ffs_budapest residency at @kovagoors_alkototabor

I had the chance to photograph fossils from a local collection in Kővágóörs, one of them was found next to a neighbouring village north of Lake Balaton.

The prints were processed in a stinging nettle soup freshly brewed from the garden, developed for around 4-5 hours. Although they were enlarged onto black and white photographic papers I was quite surprised and excited about the unexpected colors appearing ( I also realised that I might’ve missed colors, so more of these to come in the future). The negatives were developed in a similar soup with additional ascorbic acid in the developer.

Link a bioban!
