🎙️[new interview] You, Me, and 5 Bucks 022: A chat w/ photographer @wynterinspace 📸 [link in bio]

This is quite a surreal moment for me. I’ve been inspired by Valerie Phillips’ work since I picked up a NYLON magazine in the early 00s. It was a dream to be able to talk with her about shooting during the peak of fashion magazine culture. We get into her start on music video sets, how she worked with some of the best during the start of NYLON, and how she self published her own work which led to an international publisher and her latest book, Candy Cat Head (out soon on @marginalpress).

🎉 Happy Birthday Fashion Grunge! 🖥️

📝 On November 27, 2008 I was living in New York and working a job just to pass the time. I have always been into grunge & alternative rock, so in the hope of curing my boredom I decided to combine my new interest in fashion and grunge rock.

14 years later I’m still here expanding from a blog to an online magazine, a podcast (@fashiongrungepod), and most recently documenting my magazine and book collection (@fg_library).

🎂 Here’s to the next 14 years! 🧁
