Do It All 📸 Launch. A private view for a public sculpture. It seems a little crackpot, but it’s good to mark an occasion with friends. This object has two clear references (Nefertiti and Prince Albert) - but also a third buried underground: Formely on this site - Beneath where we’re standing - was a Homebase store designed to look like an Egyptian temple. So my sculpture is an immortalisation of this Homebase made using two immortalisations - that of Albert via his monument and Nefertiti via her iconic silhouette.

We clashed with several events that night - but people showed up… and I’m very grateful. Thank you.

The artwork is located at Royal Warwick Square, Kensington, W14 8DX

One of the hoity-toity neighborhood’s loveliest and grandest homes, built in the early 18th century and known as Old Grove House, was already about 100 years old when Keats penned those words. Another 150-plus years later, the estate would become the beloved family home of Oscar-winning film director and producer Sir Ridley Scott, whose many notable blockbuster films include “Alien,” “Gladiator,” “Thelma & Louise,” and “Blade Runner.” Scott sold Old Grove House in 2013 to its current owner, who redecorated while conserving the historic home’s inherent charm and grandeur. The quarter-acre spread, on the market asking a cool $35.6 million, includes a 7,600-square-foot main house with eight bedrooms and six bathrooms (plus a couple of powder rooms), as well as a 930-square-foot, one-bedroom, one-bath cottage for guests or staff. Parking can be tight in Hampstead, but that’s not a problem at Old Grove House: the property offers not only a garage but off-street parking for two cars. The interiors of the four-floor home were designed for the sellers by Chester Jones, one of Britain’s greatest interior designers, who is renowned for sensitive restoration of historic homes.

Whilst on the beach path walk from Beaulieu sur Mer round to St Jean on Cap Ferrat this morning, I passed David Niven's old house, originally called Lo Scoglietto (Little Rock). It was built in 1880, and in 1920, the villa was rented by the Duchess of Marlborough. It was then extended in the 1950s and rented by Leopold III, King of the Belgians. Later Lo Scoglietto was bought by the great Charlie Chaplin, and in 1960 he in turn sold it to the film actor David Niven.
