Thank you everyone who visited Project Greenville this JCAST weekend and supported our 60-and-older artists of the Super Seniors exhibit...rain or shine! Participating artists, their friends and family, neighbors and curious passersby, the JCAST LGBTQ Tour and the Bike JC JCAST Tour all kept us busy and motivated this weekend, no matter the weather 🌧️ 💙 ♥️ 🧡 💛 💜 💚 ☀️ All of you, and those who help us promote, set up/clean up and more behind the scenes, make Project Greenville possible; and a pleasure 💘

Congratulations to all the artists of the North Jersey Photographers' Exhibit...even though I didn't get the fan fair of the opening party there was something sweet and quiet about getting to see the pictures with less noise, less folks in the way and enough room to ask some of the photographers about the stories behind these wonderful photos on the closing day of their exhibit ❤️📸 ❤️ Three cheers to the curators who organized it beautifully; and an extra one for the special woman behind that amazing refreshment table 😘

Many pieces in our Super Seniors 60+ Art Show (and most other shows at Project Greenville...) are for sale! In an effort to encourage participation--both from artists & guests--we love when people see a piece and feel so moved by it they want to possess it; we never take a commission and put artists directly in touch with those who are interested. Even though we're off the beaten path, people have sold--and continue to sell--at our shows! This current exhibit is no different...and many of our artists have priced their work very affordably so don't be shy if you see something that inspires you! Ray Schwartz sold this portrait of Digger, the beloved groundskeeper of The Historic Harsimus Cemetery...Ray is also showing some great pics from the Indian Square Diwali celebrations in a series of 3 large prints that show the fireworks and their demise when the JCFD shows up. Like so many of his photos they tell a story, local and international...about community and politics and the human experience. And somehow only $20 each for these big beautiful prints! Ray also has work at DGA Studios and Eonta--and has curated the North Jersey Photographers' exhibit w/ Tina Maneca & Joseph Shineburg at the Museum of International Art. It closes tomorrow (Sat) from 4pm-7pm and includes a vast collection of some of our favorite photographers' work; if you haven't gone--or if you have and need another peek--go check it out; a perfect way to socialize on a rainy fall day! Bethe Schwartz, Ray's incredible wife who's kindness is matched only by her sharp wit and deep sense of decency, is also showing a lovely personal photo collage dedicated to her mother featuring vintage photos from throughout her nearly 99 years; not for sale but inspiring just the same <3 I've known Ray and Bethe many years thanks to an introduction by Trish Szymanski at Moore's Lounge; Ray was in our first event 15 years ago! Since then they've been supporting and encouraging Project Greenville--often participating, promoting and making our guests feel welcome when I'm trying to do too many things at once ;) I'm glad to get to collaborate with them all these years...and lucky to call them friends 💚
