An update that’s overdue.

In June, I was named Head Coach of Track and Field | Cross Country at Fort Hays State. Since the day I took the job, everything I had, went into the people in this program. From recruiting, culture, facilities, expectations, the small stuff nobody sees. The team had to be right before anything else got my attention.

Being named Head Coach is an honor I don’t take lightly, and it came with a to-do list I wasn’t willing to shortcut, so social media went quiet while I got our athletes, our staff, and our standards where they needed to be.

Thank you to Lisa and the FHSU administration for the belief. Thank you to the coaches and mentors who got me ready for this.

Cross country season is rolling now, the freshmen are finding their legs, and the upperclassmen have set the tone. So, I can finally come up for air and say it out loud:

I’m proud to lead these athletes. The work is good. The people are better.

More to come. Roll Tigers.
