In honor of BMI’s 10-year anniversary, we wanted to reflect on the favors Allah has blessed our community with.

Our light and dark blue represent the day and night — the day reminding us of new beginnings and growth, and the night reminding us to reflect and remember Allah. Just as night follows day, we are reminded to remain steadfast in our faith and purpose through every season.

The Sound of the Qur’an (Surah Az-Zalzalah)

This is not man-made. This brother points out a linguistic miracle in the Qur’an that leaves you in awe.

When describing the final earthquake, the Qur’an uses the word “Zilzalaha” (its earthquake). The sound of the word itself—the buzzing “Z” sound—sonically mimics the rumbling and shaking of the earth. The word sounds like the event it describes. SubhanAllah!

“When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake (Zilzalaha)...” (Qur’an 99:1)
