A little taste of today at Cork on a Fork.

Wild plates, beautiful local produce, foraged flavours and cocktails, all brought together by Chef Sergio Gurrea x forager Epi Rogan at Da Mirco.

Grazie mille to everyone who joined us today. What a way to spend a Sunday in Cork. ❤️

Ci vediamo da Da Mirco.

What a beautiful experience at @goleenharbour in this dreamy space with delicious food by @fiainwild and @paudie_b_good

The chicken thigh, spruce, rose ponzy and especially the blackberry kosho was a particular highlight!

If you get the chance to attend any of their pop ups, book it right away.

EAST ASIA > ESK MOUNTAIN

"Would you like to spend a day’s immersive experience on a mountain in West Cork, in an off-grid kitchen with a fire pit and spend the day with just a few others, walking through a temperate rainforest whilst being guided to pick wild plants, making seasonal kimchi, and learn something about local wild products and Japanese-inspired techniques?" @mckennasguides

"If so, book to join chefs @paudie_b_good and @pieorgan on Esk Mountain for this very special one-day course. The menu will include spring rolls with hazelnut satay, yakitori with wild rose gochujang, and plantain kimchi. There will be grilled sika cha-zuke and meadowsweet crème caramel." @mckennasguides

Swipe to see the full menu of incredible flavours you'll get the chance to taste & learn from Epi & Padraig 🌿

Limited tickets still available. Find them & make yours on the experiences page at www.eskmountain.com

A WEEK IN JULY

5th > Esk was enveloped in thick, cold sea mist just as the sun was setting over the Caha Mountains so I followed the tunnel road up & captured clip one.

6th > Chefs Epi @pieorgan (photo 2) & Padraig @paudie_b_good came to walk & talk ideas for our first guest chef pop-up of 2026 on 26th July. Did some picking along the way too including bog myrtle & meadowsweet (photo 3). Want to join us for a taste? Get all the event info & tickets on our experiences page.

7th > Another two of our Rhododendron stools off to their new home with @caitlinruthfood (photo 4) If like Caitlin you're a collector of interesting furniture, we have a very limited number of three & four legged stools still available. 100% of profits support our work clearing ecologically devestating Rhododendron ponticum from Esk Mountain. Find yours on our products page at www.eskmountain.com

Damaris @damarislysaght completed our fourth butterfly survey of 2026 (photos 5&6). Had time to join & it turned out to be one of the best counts to date with 46 individual butterflies recorded across 10 species. Look out for a separate post at the end of the Summer dedicated to butterflies & their surveys on Esk.

While surveying getting wonderfully distracted by 100's of Pale Butterwort (photo 7) (thanks Damaris for the ID!) & a most charasmatic grasshopper in the Molinia (photo 8).

Our woodland kitchen looking particularly dreamy in the afternoon light (photo 9)

Recorded a poignant story about this old farm wall (photo 10) listen in my recent reel.

8th > Bramble blossom buzzing (clip 11)

9th > Batch of limited edition bog oak & copper charcuterie sets (photo 12) made by team member Will @pearlsofwillsdumb Two gone, two left & possibly just enough bog oak to make another two so grab them while you can.

11th > Welcomed broadcaster, writer & ecologist Anja Murray @miseanja to lead our second nature series event travelling back in time to explore landscape over time & challenge current notions (photos 13 & 14)

12th > Pigs photo bombing the new trailcam (photo 15)

Swimming at every opportunity, everywhere (photo 16)
