This collection explores the weight of unfinished dreams and unrealized potential through a military-inspired lens. Inspired by the lives of Uncle Rayvon, a young soldier who lost his life in World War II, and grandmother Joan, whose dream of becoming a fashion designer was silenced by society, the collection reflects on mourning, memory, and lives left un-lived. Quilting techniques passed down by Joan, alongside motifs drawn from her home, bring family history into the garments. Through design, the collection carries forward dreams that could not be completed, transforming loss into a lasting creative legacy.
