I had such an amazing time at @knitsocial Knit City yesterday! It was the perfect solo birthday adventure. Being around so many creative people is my favourite. I got to meet so many of the dyers and creators I have bought online from for years and I am all set for winter projects. It was so nice to meet so many new businesses too, the whole day was so well organized and such a great time!

It's almost getting too cold to wear my summer makes now! Fortunately, I had the time to take some FO photos of this Evergreen Tank a few weeks ago when it was still warm outside! This Tunisian crochet pattern by @baahumble was super easy to follow and fits so well on my body. The extended stitches add just enough interest to elevate the look of this tank, but doesn't make the fabric gape-y enough for me to worry about wearing another tank underneath. This is the first time I've tried making a square neckline for a tank top though, and I think I personally like a curved or V-neck a bit better on my body. 😄

Yarn: @fibregoddess Cooper (50/50 camel/silk) in Swaddle Me in Corduroy. This yarn is sooooo soft and it makes these warm autumn colors glow! It might have been a bit unconventional to use this base for a warm weather project, but surprisingly it doesn't feel very warm at all! And it took under 2 skeins to make my size! This is probably the most luxurious-feeling tank I will ever own, and I love how it feels on my skin!

Day 1 of Fibre Maxxing 🌱

Started simple but effective. Overnight chia + oats + crunchy granola.

High fibre, keeps me full for hours, and actually good for gut health.

Goal for this series is 30g+ fibre a day without overcomplicating it.

Real food, no fads.

This bowl alone: chia, oats, granola = around 14-15g fibre to kickstart the morning.

A few things we've completed and a new WIP!

Fresh socks off the needles- made in @schachenmayr yarn in a Fluoro colorway! Ill probably have enough left for a second pair. They were just a basic toe up construction with a Fish Lips Kiss heel (@soxtherapist) 👉

The Costa Market bag by @twoofwands made in a medium size with Abbey Road yarns @spotlightstores. We broke our beach toy hauler bag, so we decided to make a new one! Ita a great bag for the beach as the sand juat falls out. I think we'll try to make the small version next! 👉

A fresh WIP!
I'm knitting up the Net Rem by @elsebethjudith in a lovely silk linen blend by @fibregoddess . Colorway is "Night the Lights Went out in Georgia"👉

And a little pocket bag I sewed up for my beach chair! No pattern used and keeps me from throwing my phone or whatever else in the sand 🏖

- two very different but fun spindles

- finished!!!!!!!
- three skeins done during the tour (253 yds 74 g)
- more specific in an upcoming post (1400 yds total!)

- so close to finishing! just one spindle left to fill
- ~ 50 g of singles

Metamorphosis from Bramble ridge
- over halfway done!
- 4-ply sock yarns might've been a mistake
- each mini is around 90 yds

2024 Winter Solstice @fibregoddess
- spent many hours transfering 6 oz to a storage bobbin
- ~ 30 g singles of the second braid
- I'm excited to finish this project in 2030 at this rate haha

💀Tour de Fleece Recap💀

Yet again, the Tour went by way too fast. I enjoyed working through some fiber stash with @mellyknits and the #stashdashers
I finished all but one of my spinning WIPs, finished 5 skeins of yarn, made and spun my own rolags for the first time, and made time for spinning, which I hadn't been for a while.

What you see in the photo: top left is a chain-plied polwarth silk in After the Nightfall by @fibregoddess, 2-ply of merino Jolly Sailor Bold by @thefrostedstitch, and of mystery fibres from @chaoticfibres spun on my drop spindle.
Below those is chain-plied Île-de-France from @longwayhomestead
Beside that, my two Turkish spindles and the remaining 20ish grams of another @chaoticfibres mystery fibre. My one WIP I didn't finish.
Top right: my work on @fibregoddess fibre prep box. I've finished my 2-ply using the rolag (which spun like butter!), and I've spun one ply of the batt, so technically halfway through.
Bottom right are my homemade rolags plus two that I've spun on my @woodlandwoodworking spindles
I'm excited to keep working on these and as anyways, loved seeing everyone's spinning over the last few weeks.
