Women who crossed borders with words πŸŒπŸ“–

For this post, I asked my lovely mutuals to send in their recommendations for women-authored books translation, and look at the beautiful list we created together! πŸ’Œ

A huge thank you to everyone who sent in their recs and helped make this post what it is. I loved seeing all the different stories, languages, countries, and women authors represented here 🀍

I hope y'all find your next read somewhere in this list!

Qotd: What translated book by a woman autjor should everyone read at least once? πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡πŸ»

A little correction: Yu Hua is a male author. The book, City of fiction, was mistakenly included without double-checking (sorry!!) The book is translated by a woman, which is where the confusion came in! Sorry for the oversight.

happy saturday πŸ’Œ

i wanted to take a moment to spotlight some Latine creators and some of their favorite reads!! having a diverse bookshelf is something that has been taking a priority for me (of course i can always be better) and i think it’s important for everyone to try to have a divers self as well!! reading through the lens of other people’s experiences can be so beneficial and educating (even if it’s fiction, romance, horror you name it) and a way to truly connect to other communities.

so here is a small portion of the work done for you! a few latine creators and their favorite reads for you to add to your shelves ❀️‍πŸ”₯
