A little late, but still thrilled to share that our proposal was awarded 3rd place in the international architecture competition Energia Inowrocławia, for the conceptual design of a new cultural and educational building in Inowrocław, Poland. The competition called for a place where the people of Inowrocław could share knowledge and stories connected to the city’s long history of salt mining and its cultural heritage. We worked together as a team of independent architects: Aga Batkiewicz @fictionforms, Diana Pachulska @diana_paczulski, Grzegorz Tęgowski @zzaa.pl, August Grzemska and me. Landscape proposal by Frederik De Smedt. Many thanks to @a2p2_pl for organising the competition and for preparing such a thoughtful brief. And thank you to @wydmy_studio for bringing the project to life with these atmospheric renderings.

. In Table Setting #13, Aga Batkiewicz focuses her particular gaze at the immediate surroundings of the exhibition space of De Singel. Using the tables as a supporting structure, she is making a reconstruction of the landscape on the Antwerp ring road. To this end, she brings together various media and materials, such as 'samples' of forgotten elements from the environment and photography by Jason Ladrigan. The result is her interpretation of the ring landscape, in which Batkiewicz draws attention to forgotten places, stories and characters. The installation can be freely visited on the forecourt of DE SINGEL in Antwerp. @fictionforms @desingelartscentre #architecture #tafelzetting #tablesetting #exhibition #youngarchitects credit photographer: @dieter.daniels
