Happy 1 Year Anniversary!

I've officially been a world record holder for a year! So crazy to think one year ago today I was preparing to head to the gym to attempt a world record! I'm going to make another post later today with some fun facts about my attempt but I wanted to use this one to say thank you to everyone who helped make it possible.

Firstly, all the people who told me I was insane when I brought up the idea - including my son @orchard.dj

When I'm told something is not possible or I'm insane for wanting to try just solidifies the decision for me that I'm 100% going to do it 😅

Also, my partner in life @tmully03 .. he was my cheer leader, tech support, project manager, therapist and coach. Everything technical he figured out independently. He gave me encouragement, emotional support and submitted all my evidence for me as with my schedule I had 0 free time to do it. This literally wouldn't have happened without him. He never discourages my crazy ideas, never makes me feel bad for my ambition and drive. I feel so lucky to be with someone who has no problem making sacrafices to allow me to achieve my goals. He never complains and always supports me.

My kids who came and watched me set what 6m before seemed like an impossible goal and achieve it. It was so special having them there and im so proud to be able to teach by example that if you want something and you work hard - anything is possible.

My goal was 2hrs. I did 2hrs and 5m as my son @kaysonorchard said "do 5 more minutes", so I did. ❤️

My time keepers, witnesses and cheer leaders. Thank you so much for giving me your Saturday and believing in me enough to show up and be a part of this. I appreciate you. My clients and friends - Wajeeh, Aleyah, Jamayah, Gabbie, Marlie, Matthew, Eva & Cali. My boss Victor. As well as all my clients, family & friends behind the scenes who were there in spirit cheering me on. I kept it simple and low key and it was perfect.

Thank you all so much. This has been a cool achievement and I couldn't have done it without you. ❤️

IT IS OFFICAL! I am a world record holder!!!!

I am officially the Guiness world record holder for longest duration on the battle ropes (female).

On Sept 21 2024 after weeks of preparation and training I beat the record of 91mins achieving 2 hours and 5min.

It is crazy to reflect on how this crazy idea came about and turned into reality but what I am most grateful for is my clients, friends and family who supported and cheered me on along the way and that day.

My witness's and time keepers who also happen to be my clients and friends. It was a great feeling knowing I had so many people cheering me on.

Having my kids watch me set and achieve what seemed like an impossible goal was truly fulfilling. I have shown them time and time again that if you want something and work hard for it - anything is possible. I hope they feel that and live by it. Having them there with me was really special.

I could not have done it without Tyler. My tech support and person throughout everything. From setting up to submitting my evidence because I literally don't get a free second most days I appreciate you so much. I couldnt have done this or life without you ❤️

When people ask me 'why' the answer is 'my clients would find it cool'. And that is the honest truth.

Going from being overweight most of my life to a Personal Trainer to business owner to home owner to World Record Holder is crazy! Tell my 10 year old self who skipped every gym class, hated my body that I would be an endurance athlete and world record holder! As crazy as it sounds, it is crazier. I am so grateful that I never gave up and overcame all the obstacles I faced over the last 10 years and throughout my life. I will humbly and gratefully add this to the list and keep moving forward ❤️
