What an incredible 3 weeks in the pool! 🏊‍♂️

79 of our Year 4 pupils have taken part in the Swim:ED programme - and the progress has been amazing to watch 🤩

We’ve seen confidence grow, skills develop and huge smiles as pupils discovered just how much they could achieve in the water 💪🏻

At the start of the programme:
• 18% could swim at least 25m
• 65% could use a range of strokes effectively
• 65% could perform safe self-rescue in different water situations

By the end of the programme:
✅ 56% can now swim at least 25m
✅ 99% can use a range of strokes effectively
✅ 94% can perform safe self-rescue

We have absolutely loved having the pool at school and seeing our pupils learn such an important life skill right on our doorstep. The excitement, determination and pride from the children has been fantastic to see 🥰

A huge thank you to @fifthmovement, who made this possible after we won their competition and helped bring the Swim:ED programme to our school 💖

We are incredibly proud of every single child who took part…what an achievement in just three weeks! 👏💙

Thank you to FITH Movement for organising the interschools football competition which was hosted by St. Kentigern’s. It was wonderful to welcome the visiting schools and to see the spirit of sportsmanship amongst all the children. A wonderful time was had by all!

A very happy winter festival to you all.

It has been a yoga filled year and I have had the absolute honour of spending approximately 550 hours sharing this life changing practice with over a hundred yogis.🧘🏽

My teaching this year has had me in the rooms of:
@breezeyoga_ @hassanyoga where I had the joy of sharing my YOGA FOR THE VOICE 200hr TT module

@edgemanchester for YOGA FOR THE VOICE

@shala.sage for PILATES, HATHA, BREATH & MEDITATION, VINYASA, YIN, SLOW FLOW, SUMMER SOLSTICE, SAMHAIN GATHERING, PRIVATE 1-1’S

@Salford Leisure Centre for YIN YANG, HATHA, BODY BALANCE,PILATES, GUIDING & SUPPORTING 21 DAY SADHANA

@Wosley Road United Reformed Church for SATTVA HATHA,YIN YANG,YIN

@this_is_the_promise for YOGA BRUNCHES, SUMMER SOLSTICE, AUTUMN EQUINOX, HALF DAY, ONE DAY & TWO DAY RETREATS

@fifthmovement for WELLBEING and DRAMA WORKSHOPS with junior school children

On ZOOM guiding people I have still to meet face to face

Finishing off my 300hr YTT with @sattvayogaacademy

Over 100 hours honouring my personal practice and study through SADHANA & SANKALPA on my own, @sattvayogaacademy ,@jefe_ac

When I began my 200 hour teacher training in 2021 (thanks to the gorgeous @bethrose_wombwork. If it wasn’t for you telling me about @sattvayogaacademy my path would have been very different), I hoped yoga would fill me with the love and dedication that my 35 year acting career and 23 years of my theatre schools @urbanstagesofpa has brought me, and I can honestly say I have never been happier.

Thank you to everyone who has turned up to practice, new friendships, wonderful conversation and for teaching ME.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me to bring my teachings into your spaces. And thank you @yogawithjessica for opening @shala.sage and the amazing 2025 we’ve had and the 2026 that is to come 🩷

In the words of my guru @theanandmehrotra
“The meaning of life is found in the living of life”

May our living continue and the joy we will continue to share together in 2026.

My love to you all🧘🏽💚

Today marks our final day of training for 2025, we’re with our friends @fifthmovement training young people at their holiday camps to save lives, to add to the 25,000 people we have trained so far, with over 12,000 this year alone.

As the year comes to a close, we would like to thank our many fantastic partners, any business who chose us for their accredited training, any community group or school who hosted a training course and any one who attended one of our free public courses. Our mission to save lives is only possible because of each of you.

Our fantastic team are taking a well earned rest, but we will be back in January to deliver more life saving training across the UK. We’ve got some exciting new things coming in 2026 in partnership @ocooksonfdn and we can’t wait to share these with you.

If your accredited first aid training needs a refresher in 2026 or your New Year’s resolution is to learn how to save a life, reach out to us hello@cooksonfirstaid.org.

Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year 💚
