Book reviews.
4 books read this past week.

Oaths of Ruin Vol 1 by bekky
Threshing Day by @rebbecca
Hot Dad Summer by @rebelbloom
ARC: You feel like Christmas By @christine

All of these were wonderful reads, I loved every minute of them while I was reading. They were all very different but all ones that I had a really fun time reading.

Feel free to comment, crash out about your favorite reads!

Mine are a toss up of 3 Oaths of Ruin, Threshing Day or You Feel like Christmas!!

AHH!! What a thrill of a trip!! THAT ENDING?
THAT BOOK?
LIKE WHAT?
I love this book so much, I loved Veins of Power also!! This series is a absolute must!!
The way the book flowed from the 1st book was perfection. You didn’t see like you lost time at all during the books and it just picked up from where it left off.
You get so much more in this second book 1st part. The world starts expanding and you get to see much more of it! I can’t wait to see what else we will be exploring as the book continues.
I love that I got to see Lyra outside of the Citadel and had she handles things. At the beginning it was understandable of her attitude and feelings towards everything but I love that she started to settle in and make friends and start learning and being there.
The story must continue and I cannot wait for the to see how Volume 2 goes!!
More dragons, more secrets, more everything is on the horizon and I cannot wait!!

I cannot say enough about this series! This book is EVERYTHING!!
I loved getting to see how everyone bonded, getting to see insights that we probably wouldn’t have before this book! The bonds and how they form, the dragons and their thoughts and the people, love seeing inside their minds. I laughed, I cried, I highlighted like a crazy person and I have no regrets!
I cannot wait to see how everything starts to unfold in the next installment.
and PS I am so excited about my brown dragon!! he is perfect!!

I love a good happy, fun, chaotic, silly RH!!
And this book did not disappoint!!
I loved the chaos of the book, the randomness of the entire book and just every character that showed up on paper!!
This was the perfect mix of RH and HEA! and I LOVED IT!

PS Basset hound

Oaths of Ruin: Vol I, Blood moon- Becky Jane Fox
100⭐️
Well true to its name this book RUINED me, Becky wtf?! You can’t do this to me! You can’t just put me through one of the most emotional roller coasters of my life and then just end it like THAT. I would sell my soul to Serrane to get my little paws on Vol II ASAP, and if you have read this or the first book you should know how desperate I am from that statement alone.
So trying to give my thoughts without spoiling will be hard so I will try to keep it simple. First of all dragons being so tiny is adorable! As a tiny person reading about powerful beings being so small is just amazing, sure they can grow but still their natural size is tiny and I love that. Second of all Lyra not allowing herself to be happy because she carries all that guilt around, not allowing herself to show her weakness and emotions to Ahria for fear of rejection hits close to home (not that I have been in that exact situation with a dragon but close enough) I should refer her to my psychologist. Third of all loved the new characters that were introduced, Reya who acts cold but I believe she is just pretending and deep inside she is the most loyal friend once she opens up to you. Neeve was adorable and I felt a strong need to protect her because honestly her fiancé seems way to controlling and not in a hot way. Fourth and last I was horrified when I started reading and I saw there were both chapters from Lyra and Talens perspective and I thought shit I’m not going to be able to finish this dual and multiple POV is just not for me. But I was pleasantly surprised when I found out 98% of the book was from Lyras perspective and the remaining 2% were not as confusing as I feared and I actually quite liked the little look into Talens mind and it was just the right amount. Now before my review turns into its own novell here is what you get-
🖤Magic
🖤Dragons
🖤Enemies to Lovers
🖤Found Family
🖤Guilt
🖤Deadly bonding ritual
If any of these catches your attention I suggest you go and get this book right now!

When I saw that @beckyjanefox @fifthrealmsaga was looking for a bookclub to send her books to, YOU BEST BELIEVE I FKN RAAAAANN!!

I was provided the opportunity to arc read Becky's book back in January, and I still can stop thinking about it, and yapping about it. It's that good!

The way I squealed in excitement when these bad boys arrived.. I immediately ran to GC for a video call 👏

I will be doing a reread, and reading this with my lil crew and I can't be more excited to see you all in person and give you your copies!

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH BECKKKKKKYYYYYY 😘😘😘😘

Blurb taken from Amazon ♥️

EXPECT:
🔥 Slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers tension
🖤 Morally grey MMC
🗡️ Forced proximity & dangerous bargains
🐉 Dragons in exile & forbidden magic
❤️ A fierce, flawed heroine who would rather set the world on fire than bow to it

Meet Lyra Bloom—a sharp-tongued redhead with a quick mind and a volatile vein of magic she can’t quite control.

Raised scraping by in the lawless Outerlands, survival meant learning to fight, lie, and rely on no one but herself until one fatal mistake changes everything.

Captured crossing the border into the Inner Lands, Lyra is dragged into the very world she’s spent her life resenting—and forced into service under the power she swore she’d never bow to.

Inside the walls of the Citadel, her magic grows stronger. Wilder. But so does something else: a rising lust and desire for something she doesn’t truly understand. Something shadowed. Something dangerous. Something that threatens to unravel her—and everything around her.

And as whispers of rebellion spread and dragons strike from exile, Lyra must decide whether she’ll be forged into the weapon the Citadel wants… or become the spark that burns it all down.

I’m so excited to announce I am officially a street team member for Threads of the Fifth Realm Saga!

I was obsessed with @beckyjanefox Veins of Power as soon as I picked it up. I’m not normally into academy setting books (I’ve worked in education far too long 😂🫣), but this one grabbed hold of me and didn’t let go.

There is epic story telling, steamy flirting and banter, an actually morally gray MMC and a stubborn but real FMC. Basically my addictions all in one place. Veins of Power, book one, and Oaths of Ruin Pt.1 are already available through Amazon and Kindle Unlimited.

Don’t walk, run to get this epic series onto your TBR!
