When I tell you I was a part of something pioneering, I’m not playing!

@teacha_krsone — this was an incredible full-circle ⭕️ moment.

16 years ago, you walked into @damatrixstudio and were genuinely shocked by what we had built. At that time, nobody was really doing it the way we were.

Pirate radio. iTunes podcasts. 1.FM JAMZ. 91.9 FM. Webcams. Live streaming from the studio. Radio and podcast setups. TV show setups. Live talk shows on Stickam.com — which a lot of you probably wouldn’t even remember!

We were operating right at the moment the music industry was transitioning from analog into a fully digital world. The iPhone had only just arrived, social media was beginning to explode, and the way people created, promoted and consumed content was changing forever.

A lot of what everyone does today, me and my team were already doing then — and we’re still doing it now.

We are the culture.

We helped bridge the gap between the mainstream, the underground and independent artists. We helped launch careers, created our own lane and built platforms before people were even using words like “content creator” and “influencer.”

Our story deserves to sit alongside the stories of the pioneers and legends who helped build Hip-Hop.

Big shout-out to my brother @dwimuzik — one of NYC’s most influential producers before “influencer” was even a title. We were already influencing the culture.

Major key 🔑 shout-out to @djbedtyme357 for making this moment happen. You’re a GOAT — the uncrowned king of NYC!

And @teacha_krsone, thank you for showing appreciation for the work, thank you to your son @kprymethejaeger @tymejourney and my guy @diamondtouchcustoms @mrcarloswind @latfro for the access allowing me to capture your London show and, most importantly, for your time after to let me tell the story!

16 years later… from the Bronx to London. Full circle. ⭕️

@fatjoe hit me up I wanna get you back to London. You and @jadakiss let’s go @djnasty I been here!
