Eagerly anticipating my session this evening with 10-12 business owners based in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Indianapolis and Oklahoma City!

StudioKIN is a Urbanist accelerator launched by BlackSpace focused on supporting Black-founded ventures that create products and services related to the built environment.

Because mktg/branding/small biz ops are fundamental to so many, I often find myself delving into sectors I have no relation to. Besides my own neighborhood involvement with the Philadelphia Arts & Culture Taskforce and Baltimore Ave Business Assoc. I have found engaged with this community of urbanists - Black and otherwise.

It started with a storytelling series called "Trust Transforms" we produced with @wrenrene for @urbanedevelopment.

Then I produced the 7th Annual Forward Equitable Development Conference for @phillycdcs.

PACDC then brought us back to rebrand and produce a storytelling series about Philly's unique take on the national Targeted Corridor Management Program in partnership with @phlcommerce called "It Takes A Village To Grow A Business" has yet to be released, but @jasminelynea did her thing as did @tonyhowardpro ✊🏾

Next thing I know I'm elected as President of BABA and I've got my feet planted firmly in this new space.

It didn't stop there. I learned a lot more doing deep research for a client project where we created a full branding package and website w/beautiful original artwork by @treefullz followed by a newsletter and CEO welcome video for Black Building Companies @eastfreedmanandmain The excellent work and professionalism of @greendistrictmedia brought us in for a smooth landing 💪🏾

Tonight these "kinfolx" will have a chance to learn from me and the incessant study and practice I've done in the realm of small biz operations as it pertains to scaling economic and team growth.
