Ashley St. Clair, a former right-wing influencer and the mother of one of Elon Musk’s children, spoke at the Venice Film Festival premiere of the documentary Musk.
SHE SAYS MUSK TRIED TO BUY HER SILENCE FOR $40 MILLION

Ashley St. Clair knows Elon Musk better than almost anyone who criticizes him. She had his child. And now she’s warning that his “deliberate division” on X could have “catastrophic” consequences.

Her account of what happened behind closed doors is wild. She says Musk’s team offered her US$40 million to sign a non-disclosure agreement, and that she turned it down. She says Musk once texted her that he wanted “a legion of children before the civil war.”

Read that again. The world’s richest man, who owns one of the planet’s biggest political megaphones, allegedly wanted a legion of children before a civil war, and the platform he owns is accused of stoking the division that would lead to it.

Musk’s answer? He says she “was never offered that and has a history of making false claims,” and he calls the documentary a “hit list” by a director with “an axe to grind.” He didn’t deny that X is divisive. He attacked the people saying it.

That’s the pattern critics point to: a billionaire with 14 publicly confirmed children, unlimited lawyers and a megaphone for more than half a billion people, who answers every allegation by calling the person a liar.

St. Clair says she walked away from $40 million to tell her story. So who’s lying, the woman who gave up the money, or the man who says it never existed?

See the film. Weigh the claims. Then ask who gets believed when the person talking has a billion dollars.

Ahmed saved nearly 20 children when their school bus driver suffered a medical emergency in Minnesota.

Ebro Ahmed, 27, said he saw the driver having what looked to be a seizure. He said this prompted him to sprint toward the bus, jump inside and then pull the emergency brake, seconds before anything happened.

This is the heartbreaking moment Iraeli forces detained Samah Shehadeh at the Jabara military checkpoint in the occupied West Bank, separating a mother from her children. No words can capture the pain of a family torn apart. 🇵🇸💔

Gas prices just broke a record. According to GasBuddy, the national average stayed above $4 per gallon for 158 days this year, passing the previous record of 157 days in 2022. CNN’s analysis of AAA data puts that number even higher at 165 days, which is the most since AAA began tracking numbers in 2000.

Behind these numbers are millions of Americans struggling to afford the basics. Many families are making hard choices between filling the tank & filling the fridge. People are working hard, doing everything right and are still falling behind. Getting to work, taking kids to school, or running errands is now a financial burden on American families. Moody’s estimates the Iran war is costing the average household about $2,000, which includes $1,100 from higher fuel prices. Working Americans deserve better than just barely surviving.

New hijab restrictions in Azerbaijan are now being enforced.

In Celilabad, schoolgirls wearing headscarves were turned away at the school gates and sent home.

Azerbaijan's new school uniform rules, introduced under the principle of secular education, are being applied strictly, and many are calling it a de facto hijab ban.

GEN Z IS RISING AND THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO

Look at what this generation inherited: sky-high costs, jobs that don’t pay enough to live on, schools falling apart, and a climate crisis they did nothing to cause. Then look at what they’re doing about it.

They’re marching. From France to Brazil, Spain to India, Argentina to Ecuador and beyond, young people are filling streets and campuses with one demand: a future worth showing up for.

And they’re clear about what they’re rejecting. They won’t buy the far right’s lies about who to blame, and they won’t accept decades of cuts that hollowed out public schools, public services and their prospects. Perfect Union calls it an international uprising, linked across borders. It looks like exactly that.

They aren’t asking for much. Schools that work. Jobs that pay. A planet that’s livable. Governments that invest in people instead of squeezing them.

Every generation that changed the world was told it was too young, too naive, too idealistic. They were right to ignore it, and so is this one.

Show up for them. Share this. Stand with Gen Z.
