There’s 75 years of combined drum recording experience at Soundworks

Gary knows drums, Stephen and Filip know the tech.

The three of them came together back in March for a dry-run recording session, in preperation for the first ever drum recordings at Soundworks

All of that knowledge and experience is used before sessions even start here - the team know which microphones to place where, how to route the signals correctly in your project, and then how to process those recordings after they’re done, taking care to put your goals and your sound first at every step, even before you’ve come through the doors

Thanks to Annabel for being the first drummer to work with us at Soundworks, playing drums for Renée Lee’s debut single “The Common Denominator” which will be available on streaming platforms soon

I wrote this song for the girls who love barefoot dancing on mossy earth, for those who love frolicking in stone circles and for those who are not afraid to follow a faerie into a portal and end up in Agartha 🧚🎶🌞

Producer 🎹 @filipjonathan

I wrote this song in celebration of the return of the light and the bloom of summer. The song starts with a pagan celebration, a fire gathering and awaiting the sun to rise at a sacred site.

Then it takes the listener on an alchemical journey of transformation, by working through the elements of Fire and Water.

As the veil thins we venture into middle earth, Agartha and into the realm of the fae.

We are then brought back to this earth through the elements of Air and grounded by the element of Earth.

I want to give a huge thanks to @carolinesavegan @thelovelylincolnshirevegan @vegan_petite_gatinha Without your support I wouldn’t have been able to capture this beautiful and magical aesthetic.

And in this instance; I’ll take the opportunity to say that big spiritual growth cannot happen when someone is a hermit. Sisterhood and community is so powerful. Sisterhood is like the mycelium between the trees in the forest- the trees thrive and grow together. A tree alone in a field with no network grows very slow and often it dies.

Women can get further together by supporting each other. When one sister wins, it doesn’t take anything from us. It gives us hope and strength that we can win too. Unfortunately, the patriarchal world culture has created division between women (and everybody) because it originated in a time of scarcity.

The patriarchal mindset sets limitations which say there isn’t enough to go around for everybody.

I was raised in a culture which was incredibly competitive and hierarchical. Who gets the highest grades, who is the most beautiful etc Needless to say I am very much aware of how negative this kind of mindset is.
For the first time in my life; I have a sisterhood who supports me, listens and understands. I am glad I got over my fears of betrayal, and opened my heart to the right people.
