Back in 2007 I was working as a carpenter with builder Rolley Clarke & foreman @fillascott Phillip Ascott in the Upper Blue mountains. The Blackheath house was the second Rick Leplastrier house that I was honoured to worked on with builder Rolley Clarke. I remember meeting documentary marker Anna Carter with Rick when they would drop into site to film our progress & chat to Rolley & the clients. Fond memories of Rick as a architect who engaged with everyone on site & gave me my first Japanese chisel & saw in a handmade leather pouch by him for the work on the houses he designed.
