Not every performance will look like and sound like you want it to or how you prepared for it to be. This is something I definitely teach my students because I experience it! Since I hurt my ankle things were different this time around but NASCAR staff were soooo accommodating! I got the royal treatment ❤️ also, be careful how you treat people lol the soundman from Charlotte Soul Fest who gave me a hard time was on the team for the nascar sound team 🫠 he was a good sport 🤷🏽‍♀️🙏🏾💪🏽 @nascar_trucks @nascar Also, congratulations to @layneriggs99 !!

When I am really focused on an idea or a project it is LASER yal. When I started putting together the Alicia Keys Tribute show I spent months and months and months working on every detail: how many bandmates, which songs, what I would say inbetween songs, the program design, where and how to advertise in CLT, the actual memorization of all the music, rehearsal with the band, rehearsal with my lovely BGV, shopping for my outfits, booking hair and make up appointments and the list goes ON AND ON AND ON. I say all of that to say that I was so disappointed in the videographer that I hired that I barely shared anything! You would never even know I have the entire show on video because I didnt want to share this video that wasn’t what I had planned to be able to share. I had a vision of how it would look and sound and I didn’t get that. And to be 100 percent, I cried. Balled my eyes out in a parking lot lol. Because that night was electric, my best performance to date, and I didn’t get it recorded the way it deserved to be. That being said here is one song that everyone always loves me to sing! And reminder, no matter what happens…you can always do better next time! 😎🤷🏽‍♀️😭😭🥰😬 so many emotions lol #enjoy #fallen #aliciakeys
