LA Residency @filmindependent, sinema-sinema dan sekitarnya. Lebih banyak membuka percakapan-percakapan. Hari terakhir, kami berkumpul di @lacma. Program selesai hampir sebulan, tapi rasanya bentang panjang perkawanan bisa terasa selamanya. Perlawanan-pun demikian adanya.

We’re pleased to announce that A SONG CALLED QUEST is now a fiscally sponsored project of Film Independent @filmindependent , a non-profit independent media arts organization, which makes any donations to the film tax-deductible!

Next week we’ll have more on what that means for the film and how you can support us. In the meantime, Happy Friday!

Step into my office! 😏
On this rainy day in LA I’m reminded this month marks the 25th anniversary of #TrainingDay 🎬

The iconic performance of #DenzelWashington which lead to him earning the Oscar for Best Actor in a Motion Picture is a perfect fall weather watch. 🎞️
Coming off a string of films where Denzel was the hero, in this film he plays a twisted detective embroiled in controversy. Alongside him is the rookie who is assigned him, portrayed by @ethanhawke. Having me wonder what is officer Hoyt up to these days. 😆

Written by David Ayer and directed by @antoinefuqua, seeing this film as a kid (I know I shouldn’t have been watching this 🫣 lol) I could sense the themes. I can feel the danger. I knew it was a once in a lifetime performance I was watching. @davidayermovies biting dialogue and @antoinefuqua grittiness of Los Angeles made me fans of life of them. Denzel was shocking! And this is me coming off of seeing Denzel in “The Hurricane” 🥊
Too many memorable lines in Training Day! And those @evamendes scenes!

This pairing was perfect as Ethan had cut his teeth and made a name for himself with independent films. Even at the @filmindependent Spirit Awards I asked how important that was to him and he admitted is a way of life. It’s a being!
Follow @youngboldandregal for the exclusive interview. And remember “You’re in the office, baby!” 😜
