Joseph Zada and Florence Pugh have spoken warmly about their experience working together on Netflix’s East of Eden, offering a glimpse into the respect and admiration they share for one another as actors.

In recent interviews, Joseph describes Florence as “a force of nature” and praises her remarkable ability to transform into Cathy Ames and Kate, calling her work some of the finest acting he has ever witnessed.

He reflects on watching Florence immerse herself completely in an emotionally demanding scene before returning to laughing and joking with the crew moments later, describing that level of control, commitment and versatility as something he aspires to achieve throughout his own career.

“She’s just very intense as an actor as well, and that’s where I want to get in my career.”

The admiration is mutual.
Speaking to GQ, Joseph reveals that Florence told him over the phone that she approached their performances without holding back and was proud of Joseph for matching her energy throughout filming.

Their appreciation has also extended to Instagram, where Florence publicly thanked Joseph for his kind words and the dedication he brought to their time on set, expressing how proud she was of what they created together.

‘In an exclusive clip from ‘THE KYLE BUCHANAN SHOW, Inde Navarrette discusses her frustration with being valued for her appearance rather than her acting, and how ‘OBSESSION’ finally allowed her to break away from those expectations.’

« With ‘OBSESSION,’ it was nothing but ugly and I loved it. »

I find it sad how some people called out her ‘glowup’ after Obsession rather than her acting
