What a privilege to bear witness to the outpouring of appreciation and love for a giant and leader in our community, my Bishop, Bishop John M. Borders lll, upon the news of his retirement. What an honor to help with this celebration.

In our 20s, my sister and I were searching for a new church home. How fortunate that we eventually landed at Morning Star Baptist Church in Mattapan under the steady leadership of Bishop Borders where our mind and soul felt nourished and welcomed. 45 years of shepherding, mentoring, and serving not only a church, but a neighborhood and city through some of the most challenging times. Job exceedingly well done, Bishop.

I had such an amazing time this weekend singing at Final Touch Boutique’s Garments of Praise Concert! 💙

Sometimes I forget just how much I love being out in the community, worshipping with my people. There’s something special about coming together, lifting our voices, and simply enjoying the presence of God. Grateful for every opportunity to do what I love. 🙌🏾✨

It took a LOT of prayers to keep the Final Touch Boutique from closing in April. We all know that prayer without work is dead. Join us today between 2 and 5 for their Garments of Praise Sing and Shop event. Buy ONE item to support this legacy shop in Nubian Square.

@thehardaway33 is more than a name, he’s a force in the community, constantly uplifting, inspiring, and bringing that final touch to fashion, style, and the full experience.

Through Final Touch Boutique, located right in Nubian Square, Haris is setting the standard, not just in looks, but in legacy. Every piece, every interaction, every moment reflects Black excellence, Black ownership, and Black movement. He’s proof that when passion meets purpose, the impact speaks for itself.

Walking into his space means stepping into positive energy, creativity, and community. He’s not just styling people,he’s shaping culture and reminding us what it means to show up polished, proud, and powerful.

Let’s show up for him the way he shows up for us. Tap into your resources, spread the word, and support Final Touch Boutique in Nubian Square. Our community needs spaces like this, and leaders like Haris who make sure we always leave with that final touch!!!!!!

2 Days.

With the little bit of time that we have left, we’re asking our community to continue calling our councilors-at-large, district councilor and the mayor’s office to save @finaltouchboutique and allow them to continue operating out of their current location at The Bolling building.

In just 2 days, the founders Mr. Danny Hardaway and Catherine Hardaway will be retiring and handing over the business to their son, Haris Hardaway. It’s up to our generation to make sure that the legacy that they have built over the last 21 years remains.

Their impact in Roxbury is bigger than a storefront—and The Catherine Hardaway Residences in Nubian Sq. is a testament to how strong their community ties are. The family business pushed through the pandemic, suffered the loss of 2 sons and in the midst of their grief, they still chose to show up for the community.

IT’S OUR TURN.

Continue shopping at Final Touch until April 30th. And please continue to reach out to the city to save this #blackowned #legacy #business in #boston .

As always, much LOVE to the Final Touch family ♥️
