Let’s talk about plan B. Because at Son Termes, it’s actually worth talking about.

If the weather has other ideas on your wedding day — and in Mallorca it’s rare, but it happens — for smaller guest numbers, this venue has one of the most seamless solutions I’ve come across. Dinner tables set up along the sides of the party room. Round tables work best in here and they look beautiful. Up to around 90 to 100 people, completely comfortable.

And here’s the part I love most: the party room is right there at the end. You finish dinner. The DJ starts. And you haven’t moved anywhere. You haven’t transitioned between spaces. You haven’t done the slightly awkward shuffle from one room to another in the rain. You’re already exactly where you need to be.

Fairy lights on. Party begun.

Nine times out of ten in Mallorca, you won’t need this. But knowing it exists — and knowing it’s actually lovely — is one of the most reassuring things about choosing Son Termes.

Between the two party rooms at Son Termes, this one is my personal favourite. And it is entirely because of the fairy lights.

They make the whole room feel like exactly where you want to be. Like a party that was made specifically for you. The kind of atmosphere you can’t manufacture — it just exists in here, and it hits you the moment you walk in.

But beyond the fairy lights, this room has so much going for it. A quirky pull-out stage that we’ve actually used for a band — and it works brilliantly, making for a genuinely grand entrance when the music starts. A bar tucked in the corner. Chill-out furniture along the sides that keeps your guests together rather than drifting downstairs. And air conditioning, which in a Mallorcan summer evening is not a small thing.

It’s best suited to smaller guest numbers, which means it always feels full and warm and buzzing rather than too big. And up here, with those lights, and your people around you — honestly, it’s magic.

Rhiannon & Ryan

Those 5 minutes after the ceremony are very special. Some couples decide to step away for a few minutes to share their excitement with one another and talk about the vows they shared and how their morning went before seeing each other at the ceremony and becoming husband and wife.

Some wedding days feel less like an event and more like a little world of their own.

Two celebrations, two continents, three days in Spain, one incredible love story. 🇪🇸

We followed Emi & Jake from the Morton Arboretum wedding in Chicago to the Mediterranean coast of Mallorca, Spain, and wove both dats into a single wedding film.

As a destination wedding filmmaker, I really aim to go wherever the story takes me even if that consists of multiple days in different countries. Capturing the celebration with family in the states before heading over seas to color this love story with the blue backdrop of the Mediterranean, the golden cast from the Finca Son Termes estate, and the rosy sunset we caught at Sa Foradada was an actual dream.

Every moment from each of these days was nothing short of special, and more than anything you can see how deep the love is between Emi & Jake.

We won’t ever forget this one.
