“There's this voice in my head—a sickly, hunched-over version of me sitting in the basement, constantly reminding me about all the files I need to clean up.

I'm a product designer who strives to always see the potential in things. Growing up obsessed with Transformers taught me that there’s always more than meets the eye. Realizing that potential on a project can be tough when between our work and the clients I've got 17,000 files scattered across Google Drive, Dropbox, and my disaster of a desktop. It's like having to keep track of everything in my closet, but I have 700 closets.

Now that voice in my head wants to go outside and be healthy, but I won't let him because I haven't organized my digital house. He's just sitting there… waiting, reminding me constantly of what I need to deal with. It's anxiety-inducing, always eating up bandwidth in my head.

My life's been in constant transition for 20 years—my career, having a two-year-old daughter, running a business with my partner Aaron. When you're juggling client work, teaching, and your own products, organization becomes a real challenge.

Then I found Naya's visual workspace. We tested it while developing the GT-1 multi-tool for Niche Industries. Instead of crappy thumbnails and endless file lists, everything was visually organized. Ok so I have two recommendations for Father’s Day presents - one, of course, is the GT-1 Multitool (link in bio) but the other is the @dexfingerlight This thing is pretty sweet. I don’t usually do product recommendations but this thing pairs really well with the GT-1. I got turned on to this by a friend who knows I’m into stuff like this and I have to say it’s come in really useful. I picked it up on Amazon and I’m going to grab a couple more to make some gift bundles for the dad’s in my life.

@findcarvefill GT-1 Multi-Tool’s ‘pry-bar’ feature making easy work of these interior panels! Tight space means a full sized tool wouldn’t fit, the GT-1 made my day 10x easier.

Sound familiar? Mistakenly dropping something dear to you? Well I recently did.

While tracking a cougar I dropped my GT-1 multi tool but didn’t notice it until much later.

These @rovorsport coats are insanely comfortable and designed with all zip up pockets. But they only work if you use them!

I honestly had a strange feeling but when behind a big cat your mind can play tricks on you.

I’m happy to report I was able to haze off the cougar endangering the horses and double back to find my fav multitool!

So next time you get that odd feeling you dropped something, that little voice in your head might just not be your imagination. 🤔
