There is something deeply comforting about being with animals: They don’t ask us to perform or pretend. They simply invite us to be present and help us become a little more comfortable in our own skin.

Donkeys, especially, have a quiet way of changing the rhythm. They aren’t in a hurry, and they don’t respond to force. Instead, they reward authenticity, curiosity, and genuine connection. As we slow down to meet them where they are, we often discover a steadier place within ourselves.

🐴 Horses remind me that connection doesn’t always require words. I could be around them all day, especially with these amazing women who I am lucky to call my colleagues

I absolutely love these majestic creatures. They have a way of slowing me down and bringing me into the present moment. As a therapist, I’ve learned so much from simply being around them.🙌🏼

@findflow.wellness can’t wait to see all you do with your equine assisted journey ✨

✨ CLINICIAN SPOTLIGHT ✨

One of my favorite parts of Holding the Holder is creating space to highlight incredible clinicians doing meaningful work in our community.

This month I’m introducing Catie Rossi, LCSW 🤍

Catie offers an integrative, relational approach to therapy and works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, attachment patterns, identity exploration, neurodivergence, and nervous system healing.

She is also expanding into equine-assisted offerings in Los Angeles + Joshua Tree, blending evidence-based care with embodied connection and healing. 🐎

If her work resonates with you, show some love below and connect with her directly.

Save for later • Share with someone who may connect with her work • Follow for more clinician features + community events
