A reflection on the passage of time. Photos from @mykytyn’s beautiful @visitmanitoga birthday yesterday (one of his favorite places, and one of my own). And photos from his birthday five years ago, when we were the only guests at @findmusa near Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

Such a great example of the ripple effect that can come from a place and how it can change your forever

The 40-minute drive from the airport to @FindMUSA is verdant: slender palms dance in the wind and the ocean flashes to the west.

An offshoot dirt road leads to the hotel—proof that some of Mexico’s best boutique stays sit at the end of unassuming entrances. Floating stairs rise to a grey-washed lobby of high ceilings and contemporary art. The upper-level penthouse has a private plunge pool and jungle-and-sea views; the indoor-outdoor restaurant, Alba, serves octopus tacos worth ordering daily. The look is low-slung tropical modernism: cantilevered roofs, rubble stone, and a lap pool that doubles as the courtyard. MUSA recently joined Namron Hospitality, and its owners’ plans for the 250-plus acres include a regenerative farm stay, a spa fed by the onsite saltwater lagoon, and private residences by Andrés Saavedra Design—all built with the local community in mind. Add beekeeping, standout massages, and sea turtle releases, and the place is magic—a case for exploring Mexico beyond the obvious, just outside of Zihuatanejo.

Been a minute since I’ve posted any of my film work on here.

Been collaborating with @andynoel__ with his @findmusa footage the past couple of weeks. Andy’s cinematography is some of my favorite, and MUSA is incredible, so it’s been been a blast editing all the footage. Beautiful stuff all around.
